Four in ten Democrats agree with removing statues of George Washington as some leftist cities consider doing so, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday found. While the survey found 77 percent of Democrats expressing at least a somewhat favorable view of the country’s first president and Revolutionary War hero, 40 percent at least somewhat approve of removing public monuments of the figure. Of those, 21 percent of Democrats “strongly” approve. However, 53 percent at least somewhat disapprove of doing so.

New York City is considering a measure that would essentially remove statues of Founding Fathers such as George Washington, all while facing a migrant crisis costing taxpayers billions. According to a list found in New York City’s council agenda for Tuesday, September 19, officials will consider a bill that would:

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a bill Friday that would remove the word “squaw” from all geographic place names in California, declaring the term to be a “racist and sexist slur” — and leaving the town of Squaw Valley in an uproar. AB 2022 declares: “The term ‘squaw’ is a racist and derogatory term that has historically been used as an offensive ethnic, racial, and sexist slur, particularly for indigenous women.” It says the word must be removed from over 100 names in the state.

Dr. Michael Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Program, suggested during a March 30 press conference that individuals infected with the Chinese coronavirus should be removed from their homes to prevent further spread of the deadly disease. The clip, first reported by Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson, shows Ryan warning that “most of the transmission that’s actually happening in many countries now is happening in the household at family level” before he speculates on measures to prevent the infection of patients’ relatives.

You'll no longer be able to post written reviews as of July 30, and then in mid-August existing written reviews will be removed. Soon, it'll be a little harder for you to tell everyone what you thought of Marvel's The Avengers. Netflix is removing a desktop-only feature this summer that allowed users to read and write reviews of TV shows and movies on its website. But the shutdown is coming in stages. People will no longer be able to write their feedback on a show, similar to a Yelp review of a restaurant, by July 30. And in mid-August, people...

LONDON (Reuters) – The way to beat al Qaeda and stop Islamist groups gaining recruits to violent causes is to remove their "cool" image and make fun of terrorists instead, according to a major international study published on Friday. The two-year study by the British think-tank Demos concluded that the notion of "cool jihad" was more important in seducing young Muslims to violence than radical preachers, the foreign policy of Western governments, or their social background. Those who became interested in terrorism had more in common with subversive groups such as street gangs and soccer hooligans than with Muslims who...

A majority of San Jose City Council members now say Mayor Ron Gonzales should resign his post and the council has scheduled a meeting for next week to discuss removing him from office or stripping him of power. And Councilman Chuck Reed this morning asked the council to rescind the $11.25 million contract amendment to Norcal Waste Systems that is at the root of the city's garbage scandal. Meanwhile the political fallout from Thursday's arrest of Gonzales and his budget aide, Joe Guerra, continued. Councilwoman Nancy Pyle joined five council colleagues in calling for Gonzales to step down. ``I will...

All proposed remedies for the disease of judicial tyranny rely on Congress to administer the medicine. As the Senate has once again demonstrated, relying on Congress for anything is just plain hopeless. Much is made of the "collegiality" of the Senate. You know what they mean by collegiality. It's how the state Democratic chairman of Nebraska gets turned into a federal judge by a 100-0 vote in the U.S. Senate--in time for him to nullify a referendum in which 70% of the voters in the state amended their constitution to defend marriage. But hey, if some judge somewhere says you...

Our Last Christmas in America I, after much research, have come to know hundreds upon hundreds of unborn children of American Citizens are banished, exiled, removed from the soil of these United States each and every year. It is disheartening to know so-called "pro-life" and "pro-family" groups and organizations are in either overt or covert support of the exiling of unborn children of United States Citizens. "Why, why your care, why your concern, about these unborn children" you ask? I am a natural born citizen of the United States. My wife came to the United States as in immigrant by...
