I received this last night from a friend of mine: My great niece, Savannah , needs prayers.. she is 7 ½. She lives in Albuquerque , with her mom. She was riding a 4 wheeler this afternoon, with a helmet. She hit a bump and was thrown off of it. The helmet came off and she hit the ground. They called an ambulance to take her to a hospital. I just received an email from a very dear FRiend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous informing me that her husband had a very serious stroke on Sunday morning and will likely be needing surgery to remove swelling on the brain. This woman is one of the finest FReepers I know, she is a true conservative and a staunch defender of life. She went through cancer surgery herself last year and is now facing this. Once again, I need the assistance of FR prayer warriors. My ex-mother-in-law is seriously ill with COPD. Her husband of 56 years passed away a few weeks ago. A friend and longtime business associate is facing possible divorce. He has been living away from his wife and her kids because of work. The times he's been home the kids, a boy, 23, and a girl, 19, have treated him with great disrespect and mocked him after he has bought them cars, college educations, and many other nice things. The boy has become a vicious, argumentitive, hateful person (and a flaming environmentalist who has recently "come out of the closet" about his homosexuality). The girl isn't much better. For an entire year, the flock at Grant African Methodist Episcopal Worship Center in Austin, Texas, would stop everything they were doing at noon and pray for the safe return of the soldiers of the 11th Area Support Group in Afghanistan. Urgent Prayer is needed for the unborn twin grandbabies of our wonderful Freeper Basil. She just called me to let me know that her daughter is in labor in the hospital.
