The mayor of Tampa, a city that’s in the crosshairs of Hurricane Milton, issued a grave warning to Florida residents who don’t heed calls to evacuate ahead of the monster storm.
“If you choose to stay … you are going to die,” Mayor Jane Castor bluntly said on CNN while talking about the dangers of Milton, a “literally catastrophic” Category 5 hurricane that’s barreling toward the Sunshine State.
The powerful storm could hit Florida as early as Wednesday and may be more destructive than deadly Hurricane Helene, which ripped through parts of the Sunshine State just last week

Let me put this as clearly and succinctly as I can: GTFO!
Women are so dramatic.
That was the proper way to handle it. Nobody is adequately prepared to handle a CAT 5.
Especially lesbian women Democrats?
And yet Police, Fire, DPW etc will remain on duty.
Even lesbian women Democrats are occasionally correct.
ain’t HE staying?
i meant SBHE, but it probably doesn’t make a diff
She is a leftist [expletive deleted], but correct in this instance. I worked in South Tampa and lived in Riverview until I was transferred last month. If the eye landfalls north of the bay entrance, everything in zones A and B is going to be leveled by the storm surge. The rest is going to be beaten about by wind.
Be somewhere else.
People on the water or in low lying areas could very well die from staying. What most people fail to take into account is when things get really bad there will be no one to rescue them as first responders won’t be committing suicide to save some dumbass who didn’t listen to the warnings.

I’m from FLA and know hurricanes. We have good friends in Sarasota and I asked them to leave and come stay with us in Virginia.
Hope they do. Southeast part of a Fla hurricane is always the worst part......
This may well be most devastating hurricane to ever hit FLA.
If I were there, I’d leave. My SiL in Naples, a young widow, is headed for Key Largo. Smart.
If I wear my water wings I’ll be fine!
Costal Florida seems like its almsot becoming unlivable as of the last couple years.
I know property insurance has doubled and tripled in some cases....and in others...you cant even get insurance through normal carriers anymore.
I feel bad for the folks down there.
They're experts on hurricane survival. Don't try this yourself.

Yes, this one is going to be real bad. it looks like its going to destroy a wide swath of central Florida from coast to coast. The storm surge is going to be extremely high 20-30 feet as the storm picks up its forward motion. I was hoping the cold fronts coming down from the north would stop its northerly movement out of the gulf but the storm is so intense nothing affects what it wants to do
you presume the sex.
God Bless your friends
That’s the secret. How did you learn it?!
