I do know that if the DNS Root Server process ever got fully corrupted it would bring the entire Internet down in short order.

In this particular case, I would have to know more about how the DNS error occurred and how it occurred, before I would buy into the idea that DNS errors caused such a major internet outage.

Did someone fat finger a configuration, did someone deliberately sabotage the system, etc.

I’d be cautious running with this barring further support. The claim is a Gronk report. Can’t find additional evidence of these greatly reduced numbers.

Ok, point made. But I just naturally tend to think of someone as not that bright when they’re so stupidly obvious about their own perversions. He let an awful lot of high-profile people know what he was up to. I don’t consider that to be smart, but what do I know. I never made millions via my brain cells OR my perversions (mine only being a severe addiction to salt and caffeine...lol).
