The World Hijab Day (WHD) non-profit organization launched its 2019 campaign Wednesday, encouraging women and girls of all faiths, backgrounds, and ethnicities to “voice their choice” of wearing the headscarf for 24 hours on February 1, in solidarity with Muslim women across the world.

The famous Vargas pinup girls were given a rebirth by celebrity photographer Tim White, whom decided to honor Alberto Vargas, the pin-up girls painter, with a book called Hollywood Pinups. Current ads for Svedka Vodka feature a fembot made of steel, sporting a curvy backside and a come-hither posture. "The future of adult entertainment," reads the tag line. There's something deeply disturbing about these ads.
