Taiwan has confirmed there are U.S. troops stationed on its islands in the Taiwan Strait on a permanent basis, including an island just over a mile off China's southeast coast. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in 2023 paved the way for their arrival to conduct training programs for troops on Taiwan's front line. China has vowed to someday annex democratic Taiwan, which it regards as a rogue province, despite the fact that the Chinese Communist Party government in Beijing has never ruled there. China has sharply increased military sorties and drills in and around the 90-mile-wide Taiwan Strait, prompting...

A few days ago, after an unusually strong tide, a huge stone road surfaced from beneath the waters of the Pacific Ocean. The stone road appears to have been made of giant cobblestones. Is it man made? If yes, who would have been capable of moving such huge blocks of rock… And for what purpose? such Or just Mother Nature? These questions must be answered by specialists in geology. The strange event lasted enough time for surprised residents of Sakhalin Island, in the far east of Russia, to immortalize the unexpected structure. As you might known, Sakhalin Island is the...

A photo surfaced Sunday (Jan. 19) on Weibo showing People's Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers sitting next to a map of Taiwan that appears to indicate a southerly route for China's invasion of Taiwan, first going through Kinmen and Penghu, before landing troops in southern Taiwan. After President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) enjoyed a landslide victory in Taiwan's elections on Jan. 11, Communist China has been doubling down on its rhetoric about the tattered "one country, two systems" framework and adhering to the "1992 Consensus" — expressing its opposition to "Taiwan independence" despite the fact that Taiwan has never been a part...

PENGHU, Taiwan, - A man fishing in Taiwan captured video of a mysterious worm-like green sea creature crawling onto land and shared it online. Wei Cheng Jian posted video of the creature he encountered in a Penghu port on Facebook, where commenters theorized it could be a ribbon worm, or Nemertea. Ribbon worms have a proboscis that extends from their body while hunting, which could explain the green creature's long tongue-like appendage. The proboscis covers the ribbon worm's prey in a thick, poisonous mucus. The creatures usually live in the sea, but have been known to seek shelter in cool,...

Footage from Taiwan's CTV. Reportedly seen from Peng-hu Islands. Explained as an instance of sundog. Some fear that this is a bad omen heralding "the end of the world."
