A Breitbart News examination of Twitter accounts shows the presence in Columbia of two individuals from Black Lives Matter who fanned the flames in Ferguson, Baltimore, and Charleston, South Carolina. DeRay McKesson and Johnetta Elzie have tweeted their presence in Columbia and published photos of them meeting with Student Body President Payton Head.

In September Missouri Students Association president Payton Head posted a report about a racial slur directed at him. Head alleged he was walking around campus when the passenger of a pickup repeatedly shouted the “N-word” at him. There were no witnesses. Yesterday Payton Head warned students the KKK was on campus. Much like the lie known as “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” rumors and unsubstantiated allegations continue to flow freely on the University of Missouri campus, with some of the worst of it coming from student body president Payton Head. Head, who had previously claimed he was called the “n-word” from a passing pickup truck — one of the actions that led to the school’s president, Tim Wolfe, resigning on Monday — was at it again on Tuesday. It was a rough night on the campus of the University of Missouri, thanks in large part to Student Body President Payton Head. Head posted on Facebook earlier in the night that the KKK was confirmed on campus and that he was working with “the MUPD, the state trooper and the National Guard.” The only problem with that terrifying statement is it wasn’t true and Head was forced to delete the post and apologize: Head then directed students to follow @MUalert — “The online emergency information center for the University of Missouri” — as the “ONLY account with confirmed information”:

In the midst of a veritable buffet of key college football games, there's a movement afoot in Missouri that could have long-lasting reverberations across the sport. According to a tweet from the account of Mizzou's Legion of Black Collegians, players of color on the Tigers football team "will no longer participate in any football related activities until President Tim Wolfe resigns or is removed due to his negligence toward marginalized students' experiences." Wolfe and the university has come under heavy criticism of late for responses to race-related events on the campus.
