Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) was never planning to attend a tea party rally featuring Sarah Palin this week in Boston, his staff told POLITICO, and did not intend his absence to come off as a snub. Brown spokeswoman Gail Gitcho told POLITICO that coming off of a two week legislative recess, Brown had always planned to be in Washington this week. Brown drew notice Monday after the Boston Herald reported that Brown was skipping the rally. In a story headlined “Scott Brown snubs Sarah Palin, bags Tea Party rally,” Herald reporter Edward Mason wrote that “Brown’s decision to skip the...

It's a legal drama with a decent cast. The political jabs against Republicans started early on in the season. Then, a storyline started up with one of the lead characters, played by Christine Baranski, being pursued by a Republican. He sends her Sarah Palin's book. She sends him back that mock Palin book that libs made up. Okay, not bad. <\P> On this week's episode, Baranski sees Palin giving a speech on tv, gets disgusted and turns the tv off. She finally gives in and goes out for dinner with the Republican. She tells him that she can't have a...

With the help of the MRC's talented Bob Parks, the Culture and Media Institute produced a video based on its report, "Sex, Violence and Hate: the Top 10 Most Disgusting Attacks on Conservative Women." From Playboy magazine's "hate f---" list to comparing Sarah Palin to a case of "herpes," the media took every opportunity to tear down conservative women, not based on what they had to say or the values they promoted, but by commenting on their looks and perceived sexual behavior in incredibly misogynic ways. Be sure to visit the MRC's video sharing Web site, Eyeblast, for more examples...

Why wouldn't Sarah Palin be at an Oscar gifting suite? The Fox News contributor and one-time vice presidental hopeful showed up to Silver Spoon's Oscar Suite in West Hollywood yesterday, benefiting the Red Cross. But like all politicians, Sarah and her crew were hardly gems when the cameras weren't rolling... "They were like locusts," says one vendor at the suite, regarding Palin and her large group of hangers-on. "She showed up with like 20 people, and they immediately swarmed the place taking everything!" S.P. was accompanied by daughter Willow, grandson Tripp and a bunch of female handlers. A source at...

Here is video of the MSNBC Morning Joe Crew collectively making fun of and hating on Gov. Sarah Palin today. It is a sight to behold how truly mean and petty a group of "professionals" can be toward a person they do not like. From Joe Scarborough saying she just does not express herself like a top-tier Presidential Candidate, to Andrea Mitchell making fun of some notes she had written on her hand, to Chuck Todd calling her a quitter in a sarcastic tone of voice, it was total pile-on. For someone they believe is a lightweight and incapable of...

Sarah Palin's campaign against the derogatory usage of the word "retard" collided with her campaign to maintain her popularity with conservatives today, with confusing results. A Palin spokeswoman seemed to back away from earlier criticism of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh. Yesterday, when asked for comment on Limbaugh's use of the "r" word in a recent broadcast, Palin spokeswoman told Greg Sargent of the Washington Post, "Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name-calling at the expense of others is disrespectful." Today, Stapleton claims the statement was meant generally and she was not specifically referring to Limbaugh. Still, she declined to...

On the December 26 Saturday Today, as NBC anchor Amy Robach brought up Sarah Palin during a segment on people who made the news in 2009, Robach sounded as if she might have had a wish that Palin disappear from public view as she asked if Palin would "ever just go away?" Robach: "And, Brian, another big political story, the rise and fall of Sarah Palin, and yet she continues to grab headlines. Her new book came out. Will she ever just go away? Do you think she’s going to be a big force this next year?" Comedian Brian Balthazar...

Still: By mid-2010, Obama will have more than doubled the number of American troops in Afghanistan since he became president; he will have empowered his general, Stanley McChrystal, to fight the war pretty much as he thinks necessary to in order to win; and he will have retroactively, as it were, acknowledged that he and his party were wrong about the Iraq surge in 2007 -- after all, the rationale for this surge is identical to Bush’s, and the hope is for a similar success. He will also have embraced the use of military force as a key instrument of...

The photographer who shot the picture violated his contract by reselling them to Newsweek. That photographer, Brian Adams, could not immediately be reached, and his agent, Kelly Price, declined to comment, saying, "I keep all of my clients' business private." But a spokeswoman for Runner's World confirms that Adams's contract contained a clause stipulating that his photos of Palin would be under embargo for a period of one year following publication -- meaning until August 2010. "Runner's World did not provide Newsweek with its cover image," the spokeswoman said. "It was provided to Newsweek by the photographer's stock agency, without...

I'm new to Freerepublic and a conservative and need Freepers help. This week i've been extreemely upset with all the sexist remarks made by republican and conservative critics in regards to Palin. I like Palin because everyone dislike her. I admire her courage to keep up despite all the bashing. She is not the perfect candidate but the election is not right now, it's in 2012 should she decides to run. I don't mind people criticizing her but i detest all the sexist remarks especially from conservative/GOP critics: Judge Napolitano, Brian Kilmeade, Beck (hate her accent), Charles Krauthammer, etc. DNC...

...This is Palin Week--days of interviews relating to the publication of her book, "Going Rogue."... Someone will point out that she is even scheduled soon to go to Iowa--and you know what that means. On the other hand, someone else will point out that the very week Palin is promoting her book, the current president is abroad attending meetings in Asia, including a visit with our Chinese bankers. Could those who fault Barack Obama for being callow and inexperienced imagine Palin meeting with the Chinese or, for that matter, conducting a protracted policy review about Afghanistan? As for Pakistan, South...

When Sarah Palin's big-bucks memoir "Going Rogue: An American Life by Sarah Palin" comes out Nov. 17, there'll be another book about her hitting the stores the same day: "Going Rouge: Sarah Palin, an American Nightmare." The "Rouge" book, with a similar name and cover, will be put out by a new company, OR Books, says Publisher's Marketplace, which says it will be composed of "essays assembled by Nation editors Richard Kim and Betsy Reed." Marketplace adds that "it promises 'progressive perspectives on Sarah Palin's political career' by writers including Naomi Klein, Jane Mayer, Katha Pollitt, Jim Hightower, Christopher Hayes,...

Where's Sarah Palin when you need her? The fourth-season premiere of NBC's Emmy-winning "30 Rock" was down a steep 27% in the adult demo from last fall, when star Tina Fey was generating national buzz for her "Saturday Night Live" parody of the Republican veep candidate. "30 Rock" returned to 6.3 million viewers and a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49, falling 25% from its "Office" lead-in. Meanwhile, ABC's "FlashForward" (9.1 million, 3.1) stopped its ratings descent, reversing for the first time to climb a tenth of a point. ABC just picked up the drama for a full season, so this...

Time Magazine has blown the lid on a secret ghost writer for one of the most well known political figures of our day and that person is... Sarah Palin. That's right! Not President Obama but Sarah Palin whose book titled Going Rogue: An American Life is set for release soon. What evidence do they cite? Well the author doesn't cite any but does say who the ghost writer is:

(CNN) – The father of Sarah Palin's grandchild is continuing to speculate on why the Alaska governor decided to abruptly resign her post, telling CNN Monday it's likely because she was overly stressed and wanted to cash in on lucrative offers. "I think it's because she got a few offers and she decided to take the money and she was a little stressed out at the same time," Levi Johnston said. . . . . . Declaring "fame got to her head," Johnston also said he would not vote for Palin after her latest actions. "After what she has done...
