The owner of The Dish Network said Thursday it pulled the Outdoor Life Network from its system after the cable channel failed to provide NHL games to the nation's second-largest satellite television provider. EchoStar Communications Corp. spokesman Marc Lumpkin said the network did not show games on Oct. 10-11 and on Monday and Tuesday as advertised. Brit Hume just covered Kerry's quote in Outdoor Life magazine about owning a communist rifle to remind him of his M-16 that saved his life in Vietnam. Brit says that it turns out that the magazine never interviewed Kerry. Instead, they sent out a questionnaire. The Kerry campaign now says that Kerry did not answer the questions, but a campaign staffer answered for him. The staffer is to blame.

CRAWFORD, Texas - Amid fresh violence in Iraq, President Bush discussed military operations Friday with national security aides and with three foreign leaders who have sent troops. Bush spoke by phone with Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi and Presidents Aleksander Kwasniewski of Poland and Francisco Flores of El Salvador.
