Denver talk-radio host Peter Boyles interviewed Lietenant Colonel Terrence Lakin’s spokesperson Margaret Hemenway Tuesday, the second day in a row as the “birther” showdown unfolds in Washington. No. 1 cable news host Bill O'Reilly said Tuesday that he will personally write a check to cover $16,500 in legal costs for the father of a fallen U.S. Marine who sued the members of a church who picketed his son's funeral. According to news reports, the members of the Westboro Baptist Church, located in Topeka, Kan., believe that God is punishing the United States because of its acceptance of gay people. The church garners attention for its views by protesting high-profile funerals.

It is an unfortunate fact of modern American politics that right wing movements are demonized as racists by their political opponents with a lot of help from the media. The most recent such incident was the claim that black congressmen had been called racist terms and spit on by tea party activists before the ObamaCare vote. Charles Krauthammer warns viewers of Bill O’Reilly that the passage of ObamaCare will lead to the value-added tax, or VAT. This may be O’Reilly’s most frustrating moment since … ummm … Barney Frank. O’Reilly is tryig to pin down Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) on who will enforce the Health Care penalty for people who choose not to buy insurance and refuse to pay the penalty. A reasonable question … that O’Reilly asks five times. But Weiner never gives an answer. The ultimate answer of course is the IRS but Weiner won’t budge.
