Time for apologies to Tea Partiers
The American Thinker ^ | March 29, 2010 | Clarice Feldman

It is an unfortunate fact of modern American politics that right wing movements are demonized as racists by their political opponents with a lot of help from the media. The most recent such incident was the claim that black congressmen had been called racist terms and spit on by tea party activists before the ObamaCare vote.

As Gateway Pundit meticulously demonstrates the charge was utterly false.

Andrew Breitbart , in fact, offered payment for proof:

"On Thursday of last week Andrew Breitbart at Big Government offered $10,000 to any of the reported victims for proof of a racial attack. No one will! And, in this economy you know someone would if they could. No one came forward. Nothing happened. It was all a lie."

It's way past time that the people who make such false charges and the media which megaphone them in the absence of solid evidence apologize for the slander. We join Gateway Pundit in demanding the apology.

President Harry Truman was an African-American?

In his 2005 book The Age of Anxiety: McCarthyism to Terrorism, Haynes Johnson presents stark, compelling proof that Harry Truman was black. Truman was subjected to racist attacks.

Perhaps his most convincing proof is this 1950 mid-term elections actual Headline.

Heh. Dan Rather is still saying he was right to go public with his faked documents about Bush.

Forget the apologies. Go on the offensive. Anyone who complains about racism on our side should be rightly portrayed as a weak coward who can’t deal with Americans engaging in their rights to free speech.

Yep, an apology will make it all better. What are we like 5 years old?
It’s hard to be tough and a bare knuckle fighter when one runs around like a fag looking for an apology.

It’s far past time to quit pissing & moaning and demanding apologies.

Yes. Now that the lamestream media has not come forth with any evidence of violence by Tea Partiers, they, and those who have trumpeted such nonsense, need to be called forth on it. We need a coordinated response from across the country continuously asking for this "proof" along with the statement that without such proof, they are "inciting to riot" (or whatever the left likes to say about us whenever we use OUR free speech rights).

I hope to make it to the Ocala Tea Party at The Square on 4/15 (darn it being on a Thursday!). I'm working on a poster sign now. Gotta keep it short and sweet.

We will never get an apology. It was stated already, but we would look weak trying to look for one. I think I best bet is to continue making these people look like hypocritical idiots.

The next Tea Party, many people in the crowd should carry a plastic look alike gavel that Her Majesty Pelosi was showing off.

These Tea Party should be even more often and at even more locations. Congresspersons/Senators/Govenors of both parties better know that when they go out to eat, for a stroll in the park, they will not enjoy peace and quiet as long as healthcare, amnesty, CAP and Tax are being discussed.

It’s not about getting an apology - we know none will be forthcoming. It’s about showing how the Dems lie and the MSM aids and abets their lies - we thought the MSM had been de-fanged by 2008 and were wrong, so we have to kick them back every chance we get to further trash how independents view their spin.

Yeah, ok.
So our goal is to, whatever.
Good luck with that.

How about we just field real Conservative candidates and stick to true Conservatism once back in office, for a change. The problem with our side is we think they understand there are rules and etiquette.

Where did I say that? The battle to win is to swing the independents over to your side. We have to convince the independents that the MSM lies through their teeth to neuter the ability of the MSM to sway independents with their lies.

I’m pretty sure the Independents get that the media lies.

What we have to do is be Conservative not only before the election but after. That is the problem.

Exactly. Flood the zone with tea parties. No Democrat should be able to walk from a building to a car without being teapartied. The penalty for complaining about tea parties should be more tea parties. The goal is to demoralize them and to show them that there’s more of us than them and that we are energized.

I disagree, given how many bought the MSM spin about Obama in 2008. That's the problem - we assume independents pay attention to the media's lies the way we do.

So you think the GOP did just fine when in power?
Kept their promises and carried out Conservative policy?

No, I don’t think the GOP did that, and nothing in my posting history would indicate otherwise. But to win in November, the GOP has to be held to the right AND the MSM has to be kicked repeatedly in the teeth to neuter their ability to sway indepedents.

We’ll win in November because we suck less.
Not much to cheer about.

Like I said, we need to hold the party to the right AND take on the MSM.
