Michele Bachmann's yet-to-be-officially-announced presidential campaign has added another former Mike Huckabee staffer. An announcement is expected shortly that Alice Stewart will serve as national press secretary. Stewart held a similar role with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee's 2008 White House bid. The addition of Stewart brings a Huckabee flavor to the Bachmann bid. The Minnesota Congresswoman already has commitments from Iowa field-hand Wes Enos and campaign manager Ed Rollins, both filled the same roles with Huckabee's campaign.
  • Is there anyway that Sarah Palin isn't the Republican nominee in 2012? (From a Leftist Blogger)

If Sarah Palin runs for President, then she will win the Republican nomination. The rally she is holding today with Michelle Bachmann is amazing, and Obama-like, in it's size: More than 10,000 Republican faithful are expected to crowd into the Minneapolis Convention Center on Wednesday when Sarah Palin joins Rep. Michele Bachmann at a fundraiser and rally for Bachmann's re-election bid and the Minnesota state Republican Party. Anyone who can draw 10,000 people to a rally in Minnesota--in early 2010, no less-- is formidable. In the specific case of Sarah Palin, it makes her virtually unstoppable.National polling for the Republican...
  • Black Helicopters Over Nashville: Never mind Palin, tea-party dominated by conspiracist kooks

The tea-party movement has no leader. But it does have a face: William Temple of Brunswick, Ga. For months, the amiable middle-aged activist has been criss-crossing America, appearing at tea-party events dressed in his trademark three-cornered hat and Revolutionary garb. When journalists interview him (which is often—his outfit draws them in like a magnet), he presents himself as a human bridge between the founders' era and our own. "We fought the British over a 3 percent tea tax. We might as well bring the British back," he told NPR during a recent protest outside the Capitol. It's a charming act,...
  • Sarah Palin: Pelosi "Health Plan" Could Fine You $250,000 & 5 Years In Jail

Pelosi Bill - page 297 of bill explains the punishment for not purchasing government mandated health insurance. If you don’t buy what the government considers “acceptable health care coverage,” you’re going to be hit with a tax of at least 2.5% of your income. And if you don’t pay that new tax, you could be fined as much as $250,000 and sentenced to up to five years in prison. Baucus Bill – does just the opposite. It calls for a much lighter penalty ($750 maximum) for people who don’t buy government approved health coverage, making it cheaper to pay the...

Barbra Streisand sang and spoke out Tuesday night for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama at a star-studded fundraiser in Beverly Hills, Calif. She sang four songs, according to sources. They were interesting choices: "When the Sun Comes Out," "Make Someone Happy," "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?" and "Shining Hour." In between songs, Streisand spoke a little bit about Obama and the reason she was there. She said, "I'm not here to make a political speech... Tonight my thoughts are only personal... I can't wait for the morning on November 5th when the people who said 'Yes...

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., making up huge ground among white women since putting Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on the ticket. Reports ABC News Polling Director Gary Langer:from 50-42 percent in Obama’s favor before the conventions to 53-41 percent for McCain now, a 20-point shift that’s one of the single biggest post-convention changes in voter preferences." Among white women, 67% percent view Palin favorably; 58 percent say her selection makes them more confident in McCain’s decision-making. Among those with children, Palin does even better than that. In a letter to Maria Bonaparte, Dr. Sigmund...

(CNN) — Barack Obama defended his experience in dealing with natural disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina, and took a swipe at newly minted GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. In an interview on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 Monday night, Obama was asked about whether his experience in the U.S. Senate dealing with weather-related situations compares to Palin’s executive experience running the state of Alaska and as the small town mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. “My understanding is that Gov. Palin’s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We've got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million...
  • Barack Obama's Denial(Sarah Paling smear campaign) Does Not Hold Water

On a personal note, several credible, reliable people have told me that Obama staffers have been forwarding out the story about Sarah Palin's youngest son not being her own. In fact, the New York Times vaguely referenced the story the other day. They would not do that if lowly bloggers were pushing the story. It had to be a connected Democrat. Barack Obama says his staff has not been pushing these stories. But let's delve into the heart of this matter. When Hillary Clinton supporters started questioning whether Obama actually was born in the United States, who published the birth...
