Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who said this week he prefers Jon Huntsman to Mitt Romney in the GOP Mormon presidential primary, has taken a lot of money from the Huntsman family, and the former Utah governor appointed Reid’s son, Josh, to Utah’s Board of Regents. So no wonder Reid said Tuesday, “If I had a choice in that race, I’d choose Huntsman over Romney.”

The fear and loathing after defeat in Las Vegas don't mask the reality that Sharron Angle's campaign was just not top notch. The reasons for Sharron Angle’s loss to Harry Reid in a GOP surge year, when other conservative candidates like Rand Paul of Kentucky and Joe Walsh of Illinois won victories, are not rooted in strategy. Nor are they rooted in a flawed ideology that was too conservative. Instead, the loss was a product of simple logistical failures by the Angle campaign, failures they often were unwilling or unable to understand.“Amateurs talk about strategy. Professionals talk about logistics,” said...

Las Vegas (AP) - Republicans said for months that if the Nevada Senate race was a referendum on Harry Reid, the unpopular Majority Leader would lose. Reid didn't let that happen. He adeptly painted opponent Sharron Angle as an extremist immediately after she won her primary -- and proceeded to make the contest as much about her awkward and unconventional statements as Reid's own troubles. Then he deployed his secret weapon: a powerful turnout machine that brought Democratic and Hispanic voters out to the polls in droves. Reid's relentless TV ad assault against Angle and his powerful get-out-the-vote effort were...

Executives at the casino giant Harrah’s pushed company employees to vote early in an all-out effort to help the Harry Reid campaign, according to internal emails obtained by Battle ‘10. -snip- The staffer told Jones, senior vice president of communications and government relations, that the Reid campaign had “connected with Culinary” and that the problem was with mid-level supervisors. -snip- The Reid staffer then indicated that the culinary union had money available for more busses to take Harrah’s employees to the polls. The Reid staffer suggests that Harrah’s execs “put a headlock on your supervisors to get them to follow...

These results are way out of all the predicted models. In the last two weeks 95% of the polls had Angle winning .5 to 3.5%. Reid is up by 5. Looks like we could have ballot stuffin, machine riggin, vote fraud by the unions and the corrupt Reid machine. We need to look closely at Nevada and call Reid's "win" into question. We may be able to reverse the results and/or delegitamize him so much that we can at least force him out of as "Pseudo-Majority" Leader and force a fight with in the Rat party

LAS VEGAS — At polling places across Nevada Tuesday, researchers conducting exit polls asked voters one fundamental question about Harry Reid: Do you approve or disapprove of the way he has handled his job as senator? The results were terrible for the Senate Majority Leader. Fifty-five percent of voters disapproved of the job he has done, while 44 percent approved. Such numbers might seem a sure indicator of defeat, and yet by Tuesday night, Reid was leading his supporters in a victory celebration. The exit pollsters also asked whether Reid, running for a fifth term in the Senate, has been...
  • Did Harrah's put pressure on employees to vote for Reid?

According to an article by Channel 13 Political Analyst Elizabeth Crum, editor of the Nevada News Bureau, executives from Harrah's Entertainment in Las Vegas have been encouraging employees to vote for Harry Reid in the 2010 election. A Reid staffer allegedly sent e-mails to Harrah's executives throughout the company in an effort to push employees to vote. A spreadsheet showing employees' names, at which property they worked, and why they had not voted was also disseminated.

ED: in the major media the race is now publicly presented as tied. The die is now set for Reid to steal the election and call it legitimate, despite internal polls to the contrary. The NV Sec of State will certify/legitimize ANY election that Reid 'wins.' I hate to see where this republic is headed now that voting integrity is likely lost. "Hundreds of Democratic congressional aides, operatives and lobbyists have descended in Las Vegas seeking to help Sen. Harry Reid pull off an 11th-hour win in a race key to his party's efforts to retain control of the Senate....

  • NYT: Reid Leads by 12 Points in Clark County, NV

We've finally gotten some votes in from Nevada. They're early ballots, it looks like, and they're from Clark County, home to three-quarters of the state's population, where Harry Reid has a roughly 12-point lead over Sharron Angle. By contrast, Barack Obama won Clark County by 19 points in 2008, when he won Nevada by 12.5 points over all. If you extrapolate those numbers -- the Democrat performs 6-7 points worse in the whole of Nevada as he does in Clark County -- it suggests that a 12-point margin in Clark County would probably be enough for Mr. Reid to carry...

LAS VEGAS — A lawyer for Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle has filed a complaint with the Justice Department alleging illegal voter intimidation on behalf of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's campaign.  The complaint is based on an article, which appeared Tuesday morning in National Review, that alleged Reid's campaign worked with sympathetic executives to put pressure on union casino employees to vote. Supervisors were instructed to track down employees who hadn't voted and find out why, according to e-mails obtained by reporter and conservative blogger Elizabeth Crum. Reid's campaign offered money and buses to get the workers to the...

A former official with the Federal Election Commission, Hans von Spakovsky, blasted the Reid campaign, saying they are clearly engaging in coercion and illegal coordination under federal campaign finance rules. “I’ve never seen anything this blatant,” he told The Examiner. “Most corporations stay far away from this because they know they can get in big trouble if they tell their employees to go out and vote for a particular candidate. That’s a big no-no.” “There are two issues. The first is illegal coordination. The Reid campaign is specifically asking a corporation with the help of a union to get voters

Cleta Mitchell, Republican senate candidate Sharron Angle’s legal counsel, sent a letter to the Department of Justice today, requesting an investigation into whether the coordination between Democrat senate candidate Harry Reid’s campaign’s and Harrah’s revealed voter intimidation in violation of federal law. Referring to an article by Battle ‘10’s Elizabeth Crum about the e-mails between Reid’s campaign and Harrah’s, Mitchell wrote in the letter that “The posting details and documents an orchestrated effort by Harrah’s … to intimidate and coerce Harrah’s employees to vote for Harry Reid for the United States Senate, to track whether or not employees had or...

During the president's recent appearance on the televised female coffee klatch, The View, he suggested that Joy Behar become the "attack dog" she said he needed to fight back against conservatives.  And Ms. Behar seems to have taken the idea to heart. When the producers played a Sharon Angle ad, which made moral mincemeat out of Harry Reid's illegal immigration enabling positions, Ms. Behar responded with attack-dog fury.  Behaving as the uncivil shrew that she has more and more lately become, Ms. Behar responded to the Angle ad by declaring the candidate a "bitch" who was surely "going to hell."...

Clark County is where three quarters of Nevada's residents and live and where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's son Rory is a county commissioner. Rory is also a Democratic candidate for governor. Since early voting started, there have been credible reports that voting machines in Clark County, Nevada are automatically checking Harry Reid's name on the ballot: Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid's name was already checked. Ferrara said she wasn't alone in her voting experience. She said her husband and several others voting at the same...
