Nevada Senate Race in Gridlock at Eleventh Hour [or why Dingy can pull off the cheat]
WSJ via Foxnews.com ^ | 11/1/2010 | WSJ

ED: in the major media the race is now publicly presented as tied. The die is now set for Reid to steal the election and call it legitimate, despite internal polls to the contrary. The NV Sec of State will certify/legitimize ANY election that Reid 'wins.' I hate to see where this republic is headed now that voting integrity is likely lost. "Hundreds of Democratic congressional aides, operatives and lobbyists have descended in Las Vegas seeking to help Sen. Harry Reid pull off an 11th-hour win in a race key to his party's efforts to retain control of the Senate. Reid supporters, including multiple labor unions and about 30 aides to Sen. Max Baucus of Montana, are canvassing neighborhoods, making sure likely voters get to precincts for early voting and organizing get-out-the-vote efforts to help Mr. Reid in his tight contest against Republican Sharron Angle."

Right. Angle was up four points in a new poll out yesterday. That’s 4 straight polls with a solid 4 point lead.

If that were Reid, he’d be “holding a solid lead heading into election day.” But with Angle it’s a “dead heat,” a “virtual tie.”

Just trying to keep it close (in the minds of the voters) to be able to pull off the cheating.

What I hate to see if every loss explained away as the result of fraud before there is even a loss and without any real evidence.

NV is a special case — thus the rationale for this post. THIS instance is unique among the races, and I did not mean for you to infer this concern applies to all the races, as yet un-won or un-lost.

SEIU runs the polls and controls the machines.

Voting irregularities, glaring ones, with the machines being preset for Reid.

A Sec of State clearly in the tank for Reid.

High stakes in the Political and Media world for Reid to hang on.

All of the above point to a “by any means necessary” fraudulent victory for Harry Reid. THAT is my editorial comment on top of the facts of this race.

Lets just say Dingy wins.

If the Senate can be won by Repoublicans he will no longer be the Majority leader, Just another crooked a-hole sitting in his Washington office.

There is always hope.

Looks like recall is the solution.

Hamilton had it right:

If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the usurpations of the national rulers, may be exerted with infinitely better prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual state. In a single state, if the persons intrusted with supreme power become usurpers, the different parcels, subdivisions, or districts of which it consists, having no distinct government in each, can take no regular measures for defense. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair.
The foregoing is an excerpt from Federalist #28.

Sadly it looks like Hamilton was oddly prescient.

*IF* the voting process truly lack integrity, then indeed those in power have leapt beyond corruption to purposeful tyranny.

And “ ... the tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

BUT ... I have read that Timothy McVeigh wore a T-shirt with that quote on it when he murdered 168 people. We need to keep it in the right context.

Excuse me...but what is wrong, illegal, distasteful, anti American etc about having your side go door to door to get people to vote?

Am I missing something here?

If you know of some voting fraud then say so, but what you’re talking about is the American way....Dems have always done it well. I’m from Chicago, and I know this.

You have missed something here.

The POINT is that whereas —

‘our’ internal polls show a persistent 4 - 5% lead among likely voters for Angle;

and now that a ‘headline’ political article shows the race in “deadlock” AND

also praises the Dims for a [legitimate] get-out-the-vote effort AND

since the NV Sec of State has already looked at the instances of preset machines and SEIU oversight and called it a mixture of ‘everything is fine, it’s just seasoned citizens with issues’, then ...

THEREFORE the stage is set for Reid to promulgate an election victory, his affirmation if you will, through just enough fraud to make it appear legitimate and have the support of the MSM.

My post had nothing to do with the Dim canvassing efforts, but rather commented on the poll results as a precursor to legitimizing fraud.

Not sure Vegas with so many labor unions may pull it off sad to say.But if he wins the state will stay broke and Vegas will shrink big time.

Within the margin of litigation.

He's gonna be toast. I hope.

REID-You'reFired-2sm

We're saying 'enough is enough' and casting our votes to save America.

Could some of this be a reason:

A 'stimulus' that only stimulated the National Debt Clock.
10% unemployment.
$3 trillion in new debt in just two years.
The vast increase in the size of government and its share of GDP.
Eight years of projected $1 trillion annual budget deficits.
New capital gains taxes.
New inheritance taxes.
The use of extra-cabinet czars to avoid confirmation and audit.
ACORN
The months-long shutdown of gulf drilling.
The failure to encourage coal, nuclear, and oil and gas new production.
The Black Panther voting intimidation mess.
Obama's bowing abroad and his apologies tour.
The outreach to enemies, and the snubbing of allies.
The unnecessary humiliation of Great Britain and Israel.
The unnecessary announcement of Afghan troop withdrawal deadlines.
'Overseas contingency operations' and 'man-made disasters.'
The proposed civilian trial of KSM.
The Ground Zero mosque mess.
The beer summit mess.
NASA's new main mission of Muslim outreach.
Stopping the border fence.
Suing Arizona and demonizing the state.
The constant 'Bush did it' refrain.
The slurs against limb-lopping doctors.
The warnings of the 'rich' going to the Super Bowl and Las Vegas.
Unhinged appointees like Van Jones and Anita Dunn.
Cash for clunkers.
Dems, monetizing the debt.

The Rats are shovel-ready for the dust bin of history.

You’re missing the point. The meme in the media is that it is deadlocked, despite Angle with a solid 4 point lead in every poll the past 2 weeks — and never trailing for the past 2 months.

They are trying to create a false impression in the minds of the voters (Dems working hard to GOTV, tossup, deadheat, Faux GOP endorsements, etc). So when they steal the election, there isn’t this inquisitive look from the electorate, “What happened, Angle was always ahead?”

HOw are they going to committ fraud? I mean I see tremendous likelihood that there is widespread fraud in Washington. They vote by mail? HOw do you stop one person sending in the votes of his entire family of deadbeats?

So, I’m not holding my breath in that state, but NV? Let’s assume REid does pick up 1 % by fraud, e.g. by being behind the so calloed Tea Party candidate....

It’s a toss up...Angle should win and win big.... but it’s a toss up....In any toss up, the incumbant should lose....

I see the potential for fraud in the IL race. The Chicago machine will get the vote out for the Dem....bu Kirk is popular. The only other gop candidate would have been Mike Ditka who would have won hands down....

“But if he wins the state will stay broke and Vegas will shrink big time.”

If the fraud comes out of Clark County, I’m thinking tea party sponsored boycot of Las Vegas. Elsewhere in Nevada is okay, just not Vegas.
