Huntsman’s family gave nearly $25,000 to Reid last cycle

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who said this week he prefers Jon Huntsman to Mitt Romney in the GOP Mormon presidential primary, has taken a lot of money from the Huntsman family, and the former Utah governor appointed Reid’s son, Josh, to Utah’s Board of Regents.
So no wonder Reid said Tuesday, “If I had a choice in that race, I’d choose Huntsman over Romney.”

I would still like to know who has encouraged him to run. He has virtually no name recognition and is all but indistinguishable from Romney.

Huntsman is at best boring. I watched his "announcement". It was a yawner.
Huntsman knows Obama is out. He is only in the race to see if he can get a following and leverage that in to pushing that following on to the frontrunner at some point. In return for some cushy job in the next administration.
I wish him good luck. He is going to need it. I doubt he will be around in 90 days.
