Dear John: I’m 93 going on 94, and a combat veteran of World War II and the Korean War. I am alone. My wife is gone and my children are all married, but help as often as they can. I went to the Capital One office in Nutley, New Jersey, to cancel my account. The representative wanted to help me keep my credit card. I said “no,” but he kept putting words in my mouth. I said “cancel.” I made no charges, and paid off the amount due prior to the visit. It keeps charging me interest, etc. L.K.

A New Jersey woman was arrested after police said she brought her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth, causing the girl to suffer burns. But 44-year-old Patricia Krentcil, who was charged with second-degree child endangerment, said her daughter was never exposed to the tanning booth's UV rays and instead got slightly sunburned while playing outside on a warm day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The girl's father told NBC 4 New York his daughter told classmates at school that she "went tanning with Mommy." He thinks a teacher overheard, inaccurately connected the girl's sunburn to the tanning salon trip and contacted police.

(Nutley-WABC, March 28, 2006) - It appears parts of a cargo plane fell from the sky. Tim Fleischer is in Nutley with the story. Some very, very scary moments for a Nutley New Jersey family. They actually did not hear the piece that fell on their sidewalk, but it still came dangerously closes to their home. Bob Suchocki, Nutley Resident: "Well, I guess this is where it fell originally." Bob Suchocki has the pictures to prove it. A piece, about three by four feet long fell right on the front lawn narrowly missing his house.
