A gunman carjacked an undercover police officer Thursday afternoon on the Near North Side embarking on nearly two-mile crime spree that left two people shot in the city’s Gold Coast neighborhood. The string of violence began around 5:30 p.m. in the 600 block of West Chicago Avenue, where a man hijacked an on-duty undercover officer’s vehicle, according to Deputy Police Chief Kevin Ryan. PITTSBURGH -- A man was shot while eating chicken nuggets on Pittsburgh's North Side. Police said the man, who has not been identified, was walking Wednesday afternoon on Linwood Avenue when he was hit. Witness Allen King told Channel 4 Action News what he saw once police cordoned off the area. "When police got here, the ambulance came, they looked at the young man. Evidently, he took a shot in the hip. He was alive. They carried him away," said King.

A 150-pound cougar was shot and killed Monday evening in the Roscoe Village neighborhood on Chicago's North Side, Chicago police said. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in an alley near North Hamilton Avenue and West Roscoe Street, according to officials. Police cornered the cougar in the back yard of Ben Greene, 39, who lives on the 3400 block of North Hoyne. Greene said he heard a volley of gunfire shortly before 6 p.m. as he was bathing his 10-month-old son. MILWAUKEE - Police have arrested one more suspect in the sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl on Milwaukee's north side. A 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy have already been charged with assisting in the crime and a 40-year-old man is in custody, accused of raping the young victim in a home near n. 6th and Vienna. According to the criminal complaint, the girl says she performed oral sex on as many as 15 boys and had sex with several of them, including the 40-year-old. The 11-year-old girl has HIV.
