State police from Belle Vernon and Greensburg chased a tractor-trailer for 34 miles through Fayette and Westmoreland counties in Western Pennsylvania as the driver threw items at his pursuers from the cab of his truck early Saturday. Christopher Boyer, 47, of Mifflintown, Juniata County, shoved a steel canister from his truck that hit and disabled a police car during the chase, according to state police.
