Democrat Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman took to social media Monday to criticize his fellow Democrats for not denouncing the violent riots that broke out in Los Angeles after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid. In a post on X, Fetterman said he was disappointed in his party’s failure to take a firm stand against the destruction, calling the situation “anarchy and true chaos.” He said that the Democratic Party risks losing its moral high ground when it fails to unequivocally condemn such actions. “I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wants the state to take over some funding of government services for rural, thinly-populated fiscally constrained counties and allow them to eliminate their property taxes. (The cost) would be about $300 million per year, a drop in the bucket of the nearly $50 billion in general fund spending. “I’m just telling you that is budget dust, like, that’s easy for us to do,” DeSantis said. “And I’m not suggesting that, like, we have to just do that, but I’d be willing, of course, we’re going to help with that. You know, we want, we want homeowners...

Seattle has lost one of its most high-profile tech events due to mounting concerns over public safety and deteriorating conditions in the city’s downtown core. Microsoft has confirmed that it will no longer host its annual Build conference in Seattle starting in 2026, citing issues related to rampant homelessness, visible drug use, and urban decay. According to an internal email obtained by journalist Jonathan Choe of the Discovery Institute, Visit Seattle—the city’s official tourism and marketing organization—was informed that Microsoft will cancel its 2026 event and release all future holds for the conference in Seattle. The email, titled “DEFINITE BOOKING...

California Governor Gavin Newsom, LA Mayor Karen Bass and the entire extremist California progressive class have egg on their faces Monday evening as the Los Angeles anti-ICE protests were neutered by the president’s shaming of Golden State officials to take action, his decision to send in the National Guard and the Marines, and his refusal to tolerate violence. Bass, Sen. Adam Schiff, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former vice president and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, and the whole Marxist gang decried Trump’s decisions—yet, as we’ve seen before, they had no interest in stopping the rampage and look pathetic now...

Dozens of protests and rallies opposing ICE raids and government immigration policies were held across the country on Monday, with more planned for the rest of the week, after a weekend of protests and unrest in Los Angeles. Since Sunday, the anti-ICE movement has spread across California and beyond, with events held from New York to Texas. Activists plan more events on Tuesday, with events due in New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta. A series of so-called "No Kings" nationwide demonstrations are planned for Saturday. Some 56 people were arrested in L.A. over the weekend as some 700 marines and...

LOS ANGELES — Less than 48 hours after Juan Fernando was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement at his job at a clothing factory, he was transported back to the country he had left behind. ... skipping past sob story to real story ... As protests over workplace raids in California’s largest city continued Monday and the Pentagon announced it would be sending 700 Marines to backstop National Guard troops, immigration lawyers, advocates and relatives were scrambling to find information about those detained. Mexico’s foreign minister said four immigrants detained in the raid had already been removed from the United...

As violent leftists and illegal aliens stage an uprising in Los Angeles, California, some of them are partaking in one of the left’s favorite protest activities. Lighting cars on fire across the city, attacking law enforcement, destroying police cars, and hurling explosives at an ICE facility isn’t enough for the liberal domestic terrorists and criminal illegal aliens overtaking the streets. Los Angeles Police are receiving reports from local business owners that their stores were broken into and looted. On Sunday at approximately 10:20 pm PDT, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Central Division posted on X, Business owners are reporting stores...

On April 24, 2024, Gary R. Sanchez filed a lawsuit against Attorney General Rob Bonta, representing the State of California. The suit alleges California banned firearms suppressors in violation of the Second Amendment. Sanchez acted as his own attorney in the case. The district judge granted AG Bonta’s motion to dismiss the case, finding suppressors were not covered by the Second Amendment, because they were “only” accessories, not “arms”.Sanchez appealed the case to the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on September 6, 2024. The Ninth Circuit has historically been one of the circuits most openly defying Supreme Court...

The communist behind the “organic” riots in Los Angeles and across the country are being funded by Neville Singham, according to DataRepublican and Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna. Neville Singham is the man funding these riots. It’s not about illegal Hispanics. They’re just using them for propaganda. They are actual Communists. TY @DataRepublican for the deep dive. https://t.co/dSKSaVVjtg pic.twitter.com/ulNoRkPXWl — Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (@RepLuna) June 9, 2025 It’s a very long thread, but it’s definitely worth the read. Here’s how it starts… Hundreds took to the streets this weekend: blocking roads, attacking federal officers, even burning flags. But this wasn’t...

Far-left Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom will sue the Trump administration to stop its federalizing the National Guard to quell what President Trump is calling an insurrection in Los Angeles. The insurrectionists attacked federal immigration and other agents, and then local police, after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested illegal-alien rapists, murderers, and other criminals. But whatever the merits of Newsom’s lawsuit, what Trump might do next — declare an insurrection — could well end it. President Trump must invoke the Insurrection Act. Americans confront millions of illegals who pose an existential threat to the American Republic. Given the size...

ICE bad, illegals rioting good. You can bet that’s Democrats’ calculation. Riots have been underway in Los Angeles. Mask-wearing provocateurs are waving Mexican flags. LA is their Mount Suribachi. A lot of people say that if illegals love Mexico so much, then go back home. But they miss the point. What’s happening in LA is about conquest.Hoisting Mexican flags on U.S. soil stakes a claim. This real estate is ours, declare the troublemakers, among whom are surely homegrown leftist agitators. LA, in part, smells like a George Floyd riots redo. In this instance, federal agents, acting on behalf of American...

California Governor Gavin Newsom is playing a dangerous game—one part gaslighting, one part constitutional ignorance, and all parts political theater. After violent anti-ICE riots swept through Los Angeles and now San Francisco—complete with federal agents injured, cars torched, and highways blocked by destructive insurrectionists flying the flags of other nations—President Trump exercised his clear constitutional authority and federalized portions of the California National Guard under Title 10.Newsom’s response? He called—completely lacking any hint of circumspection—the deployment “unlawful” and “a direct assault on state sovereignty”. He even labeled it “purposefully inflammatory.”That’s not just wrong—it’s nearly laughable, save that it actually gives aid...

Rite Aid, the embattled Pennsylvania-headquartered drugstore chain of 1,240 stores nationwide, recently filed bankruptcy for the second time since October 2023. Last month, the company announced that it would be shutting down more than 300 locations, including dozens of stores in California. For Californians, the Rite Aid name — and the impending store closures — comes with an entirely different set of memories. It could mean the end of an era that dates back nearly a century to the origins of Thrifty, the LA-based drug store and soda fountain. For many, the best reason to visit a Rite Aid is...

Isabel Oakeshott, Talk’s international editor joins Kevin O’Sullivan to discuss how a convicted foreign criminal escaped from a deportation flight at London’s Heathrow airport, sprinting across the runway in a major security breach. It is thought the man asked to use the toilet before take-off, then ran past Mitie security staff while still wearing a waist restraint. Isabel says, “This is an extraordinary display of incompetence.”

Clashes between protesters and law enforcement bled into Orange County on Monday, as an anti-immigration rally in Santa Ana grew heated in the evening after a day of reported U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations around the region. ... Just before 6:30 p.m., someone from the crowd launched an object toward the agents, which triggered another round of tear gas and the crowd to move back.
