Abercrombie asked nominee to withdraw Doctor says he doesn’t know the reason for request January 29, 2011 HONOLULU (AP) - Gov. Neil Abercrombie's office said he asked Dr. Neal Palafox to withdraw his nomination to lead the state Department of Health, contradicting his administration's previous claim that Palafox withdrew himself. Abercrombie spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz confirmed it was the governor and not Palafox who asked for the withdrawal. Dela Cruz declined to discuss the reason for Palafox's abrupt departure, and Palafox has said he doesn't know what led to his Wednesday dismissal after a month as interim Health Department director.

verbal diarrhea from Limbaugh is nothing new of course, the four times married, prescription pain killer drug addled paragon of perfection presumes to lecture all Americans on morality and proper behavior.Rush Limbaugh among others is calling again for Obama to produce the long form of his birth certificate to prove he was born an American. It is a sad reflection that after the Gabbie Giffords shooting that he and his fellow pundits are back beating this dead horse one more time........ The right wing web was aflame yesterday with stories that Hawaii governor Neil Abercrombie had not found the version...

By: HONOLULU (AP) and - A privacy law that shields birth certificates has prompted Democratic Gov. Neil Abercrombie to abandon efforts to dispel claims that President Barack Obama was born outside Hawaii, his office says. ......frpa .... "There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document," said Dela Cruz. "Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president."...

Is anyone really surprised that Hawaii's new governor, Neil Abercrombie, was unable to produce the promised Obama long-form birth certificate? No matter how Abercrombie's words are parsed or interpreted or spun, the fact is, there is no new evidence -- just a story about a supposedly well-intentioned but bungling Hawaiian governor, prohibited from access to the certificate because of Hawaii's privacy laws, who must cease the search before he finds himself labeled another "vexatious requester." The only thing I've found surprising lately was Chris Matthews' tacit admission that a real long-form is indeed an additional document that Obama should present....

"This is from the KQRS morning show from 1/20/2011. Their Hollywood reporter Mike Evans that knows Neil Abercrombie for Governor of Hawaii personally, gave an interesting story about the birth certificate situation. " Mike Evans - ...Neil promised me when he became governor he would cut through all the red tape...end this stupid controversy... He searched everywhere using his powers as governor at the Kapiolani Woman's and Children's hospital and Queens hospital. There is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii, absolutely no proof at all that he was born in Hawaii....

At the risk of provoking the birther beast, let's talk about Gov. Neil Abercrombie's unrealistic quest to put down the delusion that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States and thus is ineligible to be its leader. The governor surely understands that reason and evidence will never convince birthers that they are wrong. Their irrationality will not be dissolved by facts because their notion is rooted in an inability to accept that an African American man was duly elected to be leader of this nation. Focusing on his citizenship allows them to camouflage bigotry while pretending they...

"So we now have three or four liberal Democrats – the 'Hardball' trio and possibly the Aloha governor – taking what had been a birtherian position in favor of releasing the archival certificate," wrote Taranto. And now here's Taranto's delicate retreat: "Our view has long been that the birthers are playing a sucker's game – that they are aiding Obama by making it easier for his supporters to depict his critics as wackos and divert attention from real questions about his political character. This change in liberal attitudes may be a sign that the game is no longer working to...

[SNIP] In 1968, I was a philosophy graduate student at the University of Hawaii uninterested in politics. I just wanted to study Aristotle. But all these Marxist Hate America student protests kept getting in the way. They were led by this wild-haired, wild-eyed hippie rabble rouser whose rhetoric straight from the Communist Manifesto brought crowds of hippie-lefties into deliriums of detestation for their country. His protests ticked me off so much I formed my own student group, Students for Laissez Faire, radicals for capitalism. We made the lefties go apoplectic. The hippie Marxist leader was Neil Abercrombie. He got elected...

A COUPLE of opinion polls show a shocking 27 percent of Americans believe President Obama was "probably" or "definitely" born in another country. Three cheers, therefore, to Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie, who vows to try to release more information proving that President Obama was indeed born in Hawaii, well after statehood, and is a U.S. citizen. Here's a wild idea: How about a New Year's resolution to fight only about things based on facts. This nonsense has gone on long enough. The Hawaiian islands became a state in 1959. Documents show Barack Obama was born there on Aug. 4, 1961....

I believe that the president was born in Hawaii. But am I the only curious cat who thinks it's rather odd for that state's newly-elected governor, plus Chris Matthews of MSNBC, both liberal Democrats, to have just forced the "Birther" issue to rise again? Am I the only curious cat in America who thinks it rather odd that the newly elected governor of Hawaii — a liberal Democrat — has just forced the “Birther” issue to rise again? Not only has Hawaii’s governor-elect, Neil Abercrombie, just announced that he is on a mission to bury the “Birther” issue, but Chris “Obama-sends-a-tingle-up-my-leg”...

Although Hawaii's newly elected Democrat governor, Neil Abercrombie, has recently given a flurry of high-profile media interviews condemning "birthers" who question Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, suddenly he is declining to answer a few hard questions.

The debate over President Obama 's birth certificate is gaining some renewed interest. First Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie announced that he will try to publicly release the document, and now MSNBC host Chris Matthews is wondering aloud why we can't just kill this "crappy story."...frpa

Neil Abercrombie knew Barack Obama's parents when the future president was born here in 1961, and he has been aggravated by the so-called birther movement, which alleges Obama was not born in the United States and thus should be expelled from office. Now Abercrombie has an office of his own - he became governor of Hawaii on Dec. 6. - and he intends to do something about it. What, exactly, is unclear. But in an interview this week at the state Capitol, he left little doubt that torpedoing the conspiracy theorists was a priority. Last year, he sponsored a congressional...

In a shocking Civil Beat report, Neil Abercrombie denounces his opponents as Nazis and enemies of civil rights. He points to ousted Broken Trust Trustee Dickie Wong as an example of “people coming together.” Godwin’s Law applies: "As a discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 100%. Once such a comparison is made, the discussion is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically ‘lost’ whatever debate was in progress.” According to Godwin, Neil Abercrombie, with the polls slipping, has now flipped out and “lost” the debate.

Despite a categorical denial, evidence is mounting that leading Hawaii gubernatorial candidate Neil Abercrombie, is a covert socialist. What is worse, he may be lying about it. In response to a; July 12 post questioning whether that Mr Abercrombie was a member of America's largest marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America, his campaign issued a statement saying; QUESTION: Was Neil a member of the Democratic Socialists of America or any other socialist or communist organization? ANSWER: NO. Neil has never been part of any socialist or communist organization. My original post included documentary evidence, from Democratic Socialists of America publications...

The campaign of former Democratic Rep. Neil Abercrombie is blasting WND as engaging in conspiracy theories, purportedly for the website's "claim that President Obama was not born in the U.S." Abercrombie, now running for governor of Hawaii, is a close friend of Obama noted for his role in the eligibility controversy. Abercrombie's campaign was responding on its website to a factual WND report that Abercrombie was listed as a member of a U.S.-based socialist organization. Obama himself also has been closely tied to the organization, the Marxist-oriented Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA. In a section titled "Rumors and false...

Hawaii can't afford Congressional election By MARK NIESSE Associated Press Writer updated 5:25 p.m. ET Jan. 9, 2010 HONOLULU - Cash-strapped Hawaii can't afford to pay for an election to replace a congressman who is planning to step down next month to run for governor, potentially leaving 600,000 urban Honolulu residents without representation in Washington. Budget cuts have left the state Office of Elections with about $5,000 to last until July, with a special election costing nearly $1 million, interim Chief Elections Officer Scott Nago said. Until the state finds money or this fall's regularly scheduled elections occur, one of...
