Leaders in nation's largest Protestant denomination are preaching that integrated churches can be a key driver of racial justice in society. But that could be a hard sell to those sitting in Southern Baptist Convention congregations. The Rev. Russell Moore, who leads the Southern Baptist's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, is one of several white leaders calling for multiethnic congregations in the wake of the unrest spurred by the killings of black men by white police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, and New York City.

January 07, 2015 Andrew_McKillop Europe Too Very similar to the UK, and similar to several other EU28 countries including Italy, Belgium, Spain and Portugal, France's elites engaged a wrongheaded, anarchic and born-to-fail “multicultural experiment' in the 1960s. In the French case this came immediately after its total defeat in France's vicious and bloody colonial war in Algeria (1956-63) aimed at keeping Algeria an integral part of the French state and nation. Today's French far-right nationalist passionara – Marine Le Pen – was a schoolgirl when her father Jean-Marie Le Pen was a French army officer in Algeria, where he lost...

It’s official: Britain is no longer a Christian nation. In banning Eunice and Owen Johns, a devout Christian couple, from fostering children, Lord Justice Munby and Mr Justice Beatson declared that we live in a secular state, and that the Johns’ religious convictions disqualified them from raising citizens of that state. We’ve outgrown Christianity, the judges professed. Instead, we have graduated to the status of a multicultural nation, blessed by a plurality of faiths. Ironically, the justices who have pronounced that Britain is no longer Christian did so in a court where witnesses swear on the Bible and invoke God’s...

GCCC was scheduled Tuesday to host Diversity Day, an all-day program for both its college students and juniors and seniors from up to 20 western Kansas high schools. The program planned to feature keynote speakers and other programs to immerse high school students in campus life. Organizers decided to cancel the program last week because only a handful of high schools out of 19 had committed to attending, according to Steve Quakenbush, director of information services and publications at GCCC.

...In essence, what we need to be doing, culturally, as a nation, is to encourage the assimilation of all of our population to the American norm that made America the greatest nation on earth. Industry, self-reliance, respect for private property, respect for the rule of law, the importance of the traditional family unit, and a respectable moral system are the necessary props that help to maintain the type of capitalistic, individualistic, and prosperous society such as we once were. This is a touchy subject for many, due to the hyper-polarization about race and ethnicity that has been caused by the...

THE HAGUE, 06/05/08 - The Party for Freedom (PVV) will ask for an unscheduled debate to be held about a proposal put forward by Welfare State Secretary Jet Bussemaker for paying more attention to the role of Muslims in the liberation of the Netherlands during World War II. "The role played by ethnic minorities during the war was negligible. But Labour (PvdA) - Bussemaker's party - now wishes to exaggerate this role to please its Islamic voters," PVV MP Martin Bosma claimed yesterday. On Sunday, Bussemaker proposed that teacher training colleges (PABOs) should include the role played by ethnic minorities...

What is the underlying conviction of the European countries managing to establish a political and economical union of 500 million citizens? The leading voices of the EU itself seem to believe it all boils down to PC declarations. An alternative assertion to European strength consisting in thoughtless PC gaiety would be the immense, unsurpassed European contribution to the development of Technology, Science and the depiction of Man and his life here upon Earth as interpreted by the Humanist ideals stemming from The Renaissance and Antiquity. The EU comission article: "Federal Minister von der Leyen: "The Strength of Europe is its...

In defence of the white working class By Leo McKinstry Last Updated: 12:01am GMT 15/11/2006 Anti-racism has become the central theme of today's political culture, yet the obsessive concern for racial sensitivities rarely seems to be applied to the white working class. This is the one ethnic group that it is perfectly acceptable to insult and ignore. Once regarded as the backbone of Britain, the people who saved our country in two world wars, the indigenous, less affluent, sector of the population is now treated with contempt by liberal elitists, who sneer at the supposed idleness, vulgarity, xenophobia and ignorance...

LOS ANGELES - As a Pakistani, Hamid Khan stood out among the Hispanics he marched alongside at a recent immigration law protest. When he told one demonstrator where he was from, the man responded: "'Then what are you doing here?'" Khan was surprised. "I said 'Look, there are non-Latino groups who are also suffering under these laws,'" said Khan, 49, a commercial pilot and director of an advocacy group called the South Asian Network. Hispanics, the nation's largest immigrant group, are leading the movement to demand a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants and defeat legislation that would criminalize them....

He's swept up in what local officials say is a rise in Hispanic gang activity in Dane County. And he's too scared to quit. "My cousin, he was involved in a gang, and I was with him all of the time, and he involved me in gangs," the teenager said in a recent interview. The boy and his cousin moved from Mexico to Madison, where their gang is now among at least seven Hispanic gangs competing for youths' loyalties and for territory - sometimes imperiling lives and defacing property to uphold their power. Five years ago, just two Hispanic gangs...

GRONINGEN, Nov 10: The Dutch EU presidency said on Wednesday that Europe risked becoming a breeding ground for Islamic extremism and that the problem had to be dealt with urgently. "In all of Europe, young people are becoming more radical," Dutch Justice Minister Rita Verdonk told an EU conference on immigration and integration being held in this northern Dutch city. "In the Netherlands we were able to see what happens with radicalisation," said Verdonk, who has taken a tough line on immigration since joining the conservative Dutch government. As she spoke, Dutch police in The Hague made two arrests during...

Europe: The Continent is beginning to notice it has an identity problem with no easy solution in sight. The U.S. shouldn't gloat. It may be seeing its own future. It's not often that we feel sympathy for Jacques Chirac, but we must admit the French president has real social and cultural trouble on his hands. So do other leaders in Western Europe. What they're facing is a crisis of integration and identity. On one hand, they're hooked on immigration for economic reasons — low birthrates and an aging population that must be supported by younger workers. On the other, they're learning they...

The loyalty of immigrants has been remarkable in Western societies. Canada and the United States have both benefited from it. Lately, however, we've been witnessing a new phenomenon: The immigrant of dubious loyalty. We've also begun to see disloyal native-borns, whether of immigrant ancestry or Islamic conversion. It hasn't happened overnight. To see it in context, it's useful to look at the point of departure. During the First World War, with statistically insignificant exceptions, immigrants from enemy countries as well as their children remained loyal to Canada and the United States throughout the hostilities. During the Second World War, although...
