Bible scholars have claimed there is evidence that suggests the peak Jabal al-Lawz in the Middle Eastern kingdom is actually Mount Sinai. The site is a 8,460 foot peak known as the "mountain of almonds", located in north east Saudi Arabia near the border with Jordan. Moses leads the Israelites to the mountain which is enveloped by fire, smoke and thunder, according to the Book of Exodus in the Bible.
