"When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here. There is no price tag," Trump said. President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday said he has "no choice" but to carry-out mass deportations because of the surge of migrants who are living in the country illegally that entered the U.S. during the Biden administration. Trump promised to strengthen border security and crack down on illegal immigration during his presidency if he was elected back to the White House. The former president was successful in...

WASHINGTON — Russia’s strategy to win the war in Ukraine is to outlast the West. But how does Putin plan to do that?U.S. officials said they are convinced that Putin intends to try to end U.S. and European support for Ukraine by using his spy agencies to push propaganda supporting pro-Russian political parties and by stoking conspiracy theories with new technologies. The Russia disinformation aims to increase support for candidates opposing Ukraine aid with the ultimate goal of stopping international military assistance to Ukraine.Russia has been frustrated that the United States and Europe have largely remained united on continued military and economic...

It is increasingly difficult for the Zelensky regime to hide, if not exact numbers, but the truly enormous scale of losses in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, suffered not only during the so-called counter-offensive, famous for “meat assaults,” but in general during the period of hostilities on the Ukrainian front. According to the Russian side, the Ukrainian army lost about half a million people killed and wounded during the conflict. Even in the West, including at the official level, there is a figure of at least three hundred thousand military personnel who will never return to the front.

Ukraine says it has destroyed a sophisticated Russian air defence system in occupied Crimea. Kyiv's security service (SBU) and navy carried out the attack on a Russian facility near Yevpatoriya using cruise missiles and drones, a Ukrainian intelligence source told the BBC. Video footage on social media showed a fire and smoke near the city, in the west of the Russian-occupied peninsula. Moscow has yet to directly comment on the claim. (snip) According to the BBC's intelligence source, the Ukrainian operation used drones to take out radar equipment, then cruise missiles to hit air defence missile launchers. "After disabling the...

SNIPWhen compared with U.S. assistance to other top recipients, both in recent years and in decades past, the extraordinary scale of this aid comes into view. However, the magnitude of U.S. aid to Ukraine might seem less remarkable in comparison to what the Pentagon is budgeted each year, or what the Treasury was authorized (via the Troubled Asset Relief Fund) to bail out Wall Street banks, auto companies, and other sectors of the economy during the U.S. financial crisis. When compared with the critical support to Ukraine from other countries, the size of U.S. aid stands out.SNIP

The Biden administration is preparing to announce a roughly $2.5 billion military aid package for Ukraine that is expected to include dozens of Bradley and Stryker armored vehicles, according to two people familiar with the decision, as the Pentagon intensifies its support ahead of an expected counteroffensive against entrenched Russian forces. The war has entered a phase, U.S. officials have said, that will require Ukrainian units to attack enemy forces in a concerted way, using tanks, armored vehicles, artillery and aviation in what is known as combined arms warfare. Bradleys and Strykers would significantly bolster their firepower and allow soldiers...

CHINESE space designers have unveiled plans to build their proposed lunar bases in the volcanic caves of the Moon, allowing for longer-term stays. The researchers believe that these underground hollow lava channels would offer astronauts offer a natural shield against space radiation and the extreme temperatures prevalent on the Moon. This would provide a boost to Beijing’s plans to allow astronauts to stay on the Moon for long periods by 2035. The underground tunnels, also known as lava tubes, were created by molten rock during ancient volcanic eruptions.

Attention, Dr. Frankenstein, and maybe Gloria Steinem: There are girl brains, then there are boy brains. But there's not one generic human brain, no matter what hand-wringing feminists may insist in their quest for sexual equality. Some stark new clinical evidence shows that men and women are just not the same upstairs. "The comedians are right. The science proves it. A man's brain and a woman's brain really do work differently," a research team from the University of Alberta in Canada announced yesterday. After analyzing magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs) of 23 men and 10 women, the team found that the...

Or even an expressway. And it's certainly not in the realm of an embossed bust on a chunk of change or a crisp new greenback. But Tuesday in Lincoln, a tribute, of sorts, was made to the 42nd president of the United States, William Jefferson Clinton. A reptile at the Folsom Children's Zoo was renamed in his honor. When the zoo opens for the season April 15 visitors will have a chance to meet Bill, a laid-back, 13-foot-long Burmese python. Democrats, don't blame John Chapo. The zoo's executive director only offered the right to name the rat-eating reptile. He didn't...
