Tafoya told The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch that she will co-chair the campaign of Kendall Qualls, an Army veteran and businessman who is running for governor of Minnesota as a Republican candidate. “I got to a point in my life where I wanted to try other things, and there are some things that are really important to me,” Tafoya told The Athletic. “This is not to say that sports isn’t an important field, that my job isn’t an important job. But in my position, I was not as free to be as vocal about world events that I’m concerned about.

A Minnesota family physician who is being investigated for the fifth time in the past 17 months by the state medical board for statements related to COVID-19, says the board is now requesting to see medical records of his patients who were prescribed ivermectin. One Minneapolis man has taken pains to record all reported carjackings since 2020 on an interactive map. Resident Steve Taylor created the map on Maps.co. It gives users the coordinates where each carjacking occurred, dates and times when they occurred, and even the distance between the locations of the previous and next carjackings. Red pins indicate carjackings in 2021, while yellow pins indicate carjackings in 2020. As of earlier this month, Taylor found that 492 carjackings have taken place in the city of Minneapolis since the beginning of 2021. That’s up around 40% from last year at this time, according...

Oh, how the main stream media loved to run headline stories on the Delta COVID surge here in the free state of Florida, dragging the name of our fantastic governor Ron DeSantis through the mud every chance they got. Funny thing, though, the same media has no interest in reporting on COVID cases in Democrat states like Minnesota where infections, hospitalizations and deaths are skyrocketing despite having a senior population that is 93% vaccinated. Isn’t that the opposite of what they have been telling us?🤔 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32...

The Minnesota Supreme Court on Wednesday reversed the third-degree murder conviction of former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor, who fatally shot a 911 caller four years ago. Noor was also convicted of second-degree manslaughter in the death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond on July 15, 2017, and that verdict still stands. The former officer will be re-sentenced for the manslaughter conviction alone, as opposed to the 12 1/2-year penalty handed down to him in 2019 for murder.

Consequence of the extreme drought in Near Climax, Minnesota, a small crack in the ground has grown, causing a quarter-mile long stretch of bean field to fall 25 feet. Few have ever seen anything like it. It is still hard for Wayne Erickson to make sense of what happened on his farm. Simply put, a section of his black bean field fell two stories. “When I drove out here, it looked like the Grand Canyon. We didn’t have all that slumping going on, it was just straight down. Straight up and down,” Erickson said. Wayne and Erllene Erickson are the...

Biden's proposed American Families Plan promises billions to families with children but imposes large increases in farm transfer taxes =============================================================================== President Joe Biden's proposed American Families Plan promises billions to families with children. But paying for it could have a devastating impact on family farms. That's because the plan includes large increases in farm transfer taxes. Craig Hill, the president of Iowa Farm Bureau said, as it stands, the proposal could become law with serious impact on farm families. Hill said the AFP is a major threat to passing farms to the next generation. AFP can be contrasted with vows...

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- On 10 August 2021, the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus filed suit against the State Agricultural Society and Sheriff Bob Fletcher to stop them from violating state law by prohibiting lawful, permitted carry at the State Fair.Minnesota expressly acknowledges that the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights is an individual right. Minnesota is one of only six states without a state constitutional protection of the right to keep and bear arms. Next year, it is likely Iowa will approve of a strong amendment to protect the right, reducing the number of states without such protection to five.Minnesota has...

Carey McWilliams is a gun owner, a successful small and big game hunter, holding concealed carry permits for 20 years. He has been turned down for a Minnesota permit because he is blind. He has applied for a second time.It is blatant discrimination based on a disability. It probably violates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).Update: The Minnesota Sheriff, confronted with the evidence, and with the possibility of an ADA lawsuit, has issued Carey a Minnesota Carry permit. The initial thought of blind people carrying firearms causes many to do a double-take. Consider the concept more closely and you will see...

Through the last 30 games, the team that many reportedly picked to win another division title and who has a $125 million payroll, has lost 19 games and only won 11. This is the second worst record in all of baseball. After the loss on Thursday, May 6th, the Twins have played a total of seven extra inning games so far this season and lost in all of them, which also has not happened to any MLB team in the last 100 years. The team has only scored one run in the 9th inning all season. It seems that politics...

U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., showed up at an anti-police brutality protest in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, on Saturday evening, saying demonstrators needed to "stay on the street," demanding justice until police reform becomes a reality. "I’m going to fight with all of the people who stand for justice," Waters told reporters shortly before an 11 p.m. curfew. "We’ve got to get justice in this country and we cannot allow these killings to continue." Asked about the Derek Chauvin murder trial in Minneapolis, Waters told reporters if the former police officer isn't found guilty of murdering George Floyd, "We've got to...

America's foremost race-baiter latches onto latest opportunity to distract black voters from the unmitigated carnage Democrats have foisted on generations of urban Americans Barack Obama claimed on Twitter that his “heart is heavy” over the fatal Minneapolis police shooting of Daunte Wright, an unarmed 20-year-old black man who resisted arrest. I’m calling BS on that claim. America’s foremost race-baiter I believe Obama is thrilled every time an unarmed black person is killed by police. Why? Because each such killing is a fresh opportunity for him to advance the obscene narrative that America’s law enforcement community is replete with racist cops...

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. — The former police officer who shot and killed Daunte Wright this week will be charged with second-degree manslaughter, Washington County Attorney Pete Orput said Wednesday.

Moments before police fatally shot Daunte Wright during a traffic stop Sunday in a Minneapolis suburb, he called his mother and told her he'd been pulled over for hanging air fresheners from his rearview mirror. It's not clear how much of a role the air fresheners played in the traffic stop. Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon told reporters Monday that Wright was originally pulled over for an expired tag and that when officers approached his car, they saw an item hanging from the rearview mirror. But Minnesota is one of at least several states with laws that prohibit hanging...

The National Guard has been called out to control rioting in the wake of a police shooting in the northern Minneapolis lower-middle-class suburb of Brooklyn Center (whose Caucasian population is 44.5% according to Census Bureau estimates). Rioters behaved with a hair trigger response, with at least one shot fired into the police station, and looting reported locally and many miles distant, on Lake Street in Minneapolis, which received the brunt of the riot, looting, and arson damage following the drug overdose death of George Floyd while in police custody.KARE TV 11 reports:A curfew is in place for the city of...
