Two House Democrats have been ousted by their Republican challengers in Pennsylvania, bolstering the GOP’s chances of defending its slim majority as it inches closer to the 218-seat threshold.
Republican candidate Ryan Mackenzie defeated three-term incumbent Rep. Susan Wild (D-PA) in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, securing a big win for Republicans. Mackenzie defeated Wild with 50.7% of the vote with more than 95% of ballots counted so far. The Associated Press called the race at 1:44 p.m. on Thursday.

Mackenzie’s win falls in line with President-elect Donald Trump’s win in the battleground state, maintaining the district’s status as a bellwether for the presidential election. The district has chosen the winning presidential candidate for the last seven cycles.
Republicans also flipped the seat held by Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-PA) in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District as GOP candidate Robert Bresnahan won with 51% of the vote. That race was called at 1:46 p.m. on Thursday.
Both Wild and Cartwright conceded their races earlier this week.
The results come as Republicans defended the tossup seat held by former House Freedom Caucus Chairman Scott Perry (R-PA), who narrowly defeated Democratic challenger Janelle Stelson on Thursday.
Perry defeated Stelson with 50.8% of the vote, with 99% of ballots counted. The Associated Press called the race at 1:47 p.m. EST on Thursday, two days after Election Day.
The called races put Republicans at 209 House seats so far with Democrats trailing behind at 193. Republicans are currently leading in 14 other races, which would put them well past the 218-seat threshold to secure the majority.

With unified control, Trump have GOP have 2 years to get things done. Let us pray that this opportunity isn’t squandered. And let us pray that Johnson and a new Senate majority leader are a better tag team than Paul Ryan and Mitch.
Divine intervention, God has his hand on this!!!

Looking even better. 92.9% chance of holding the house
On the contrary; Eddie Munster and the turtle were a great tag team. For the Dems and against Trump.
Trump is coming in with a much more supportive Congress than the last time. His mandate is pretty clear.
NOT Johnson NO WAY he has lost ALL trust, I want a bull dog Harriet Hageman from Wyoming, she take NO BS from anyone and is still an outsider hasn’t been swallowed by the swamp AND don’t believe she ever will be!! She is NO nonsense and smart as a whip!! She will need a good strong whip to help get the votes!!
This whole election seems to be part of the Lord’s plan. If Trump had won in 2020 (without shenanigans), he still would have had a RAT Senate to thwart his plans. Now, he has a Senate and Hopefully a House on his side. Divine intervention
They’re going to have to just bulldoze their way through any RINO opposition, and ignore the braying of the media that will inevitably occur as a result. The media will scream “bully!”, “fascist!”, etc., but they need to ignore all of that and explain that they’re just doing everything they can to deliver the promises they made to those who elected them.
I’d say it’s 217 (R) - Alaska is in the bag. We just need places like CA27 and CA47 to finish counting and we’re there
Indeed.
God sent Scott Presler.
Decision Desk HQ shows the current House results as follows:
218 needed for control
216 Republican
204 Democrat
15 still to be decided
https://decisiondeskhq.com/results/2024/General/US-House/
Projected as of now:
222 Republican
213 Democrat
REP. had both houses the first two years of PDJT’s presidency, and all they did was fight him tooth and nail on anything he tried to do. Then that POS Ryan got 40 house members to quit in 2018, which all 40 seats went to the Dems.
So if this batch of Republicans does not grow a set, PDJT is going to find it hare to do anything. However if the R’s deliver the first two years, the D’s will have a hard time.
Him and the Liz Cheney pubes are now gone. He’s got more to work with now.
I need to sleep but dang, those numbers are keeping me up
CA41 looks like the 218th: Calvert is up 6,700.
Amen!
