  • As Impeachment Fails, Romney Stands Alone

To the extent that Mitt Romney, handsome rich guy, is a sympathetic figure, it is because his attempts to prostrate himself before the left fail so consistently. The “binders full of women” comment, perverted as it was by the media, was also a total capitulation to the idea that there ought to be more quotas and affirmative action in hiring. But even then – even then! – they still painted him and Paul Ryan as racists who wanted to kill grandma and crawl through your window at night to steal your birth control. The lesson Republican voters took away was:...

The Republican establishment is still trying to blame conservatives for last November’s disaster. The phonies of the Karl Rove Wing of the Republican Party didn’t get it then and they still don’t. They are fooling themselves by refusing to look at the numbers. The GOP just doesn’t understand that asking us to vote for a Republican because he is not a Democrat doesn’t fire conservatives up, and the stupid fools think they can win without conservative support. For conservatives the road to settling on a Republican presidential candidate had many ups and downs. Nevertheless, almost to the very end Mitt...
  • Romney's brilliant foreign policy choice [ 2nd Former Reagan adviser to compare Mitt to Reagan ]

No doubt the Obama administration is fast at work sharpening their knives to slice and dice Paul Ryan as lacking the foreign policy chops to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. By choosing Paul Ryan as his running mate, Romney has made an inspired choice – on foreign policy grounds! First, the greatest long-term national security threat the United States faces isn’t China, or Russia, or Al Qaeda. It’s our dwindling economic power. As former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mullin has said many times, “the single, biggest threat to our national security is our debt.”...

At this stage in the GOP primary, few within the Tea Party are certain which is the best among a questionable group of candidates—so questionable that many believe the frontrunner, Mitt Romney, wouldn’t even be in the race if voters weren’t continually being told he had the best chance to defeat Obama. According to economist and Tea Party expert, Stephen Johnston, a Juris Doctorate with Theological degree, therein lies the issue at hand. For most hardworking, taxpaying Americans, at all costs, the outcome in November must be an Obama defeat...
  • National poll: Gingrich 37, Romney 22; Iowa: Gingrich 31, Romney 17 [Gallup: Newt gets tea party]

Here’s the national poll from Gallup confirming everything you thought you knew about the race. Most of Cain’s support did indeed go to Newt, and Newt continues to crush Romney among tea partiers and seniors. Intriguing data, but not nearly as important as state polls in Iowa and New Hampshire for the simple reason that national polls will move dramatically after those states vote.
  • Iowa: Perry 23, Bachmann 20, Romney 16

The bad news for Perry fans? The group behind this poll is Make Us Great Again, a super PAC formed to benefit — ta da — Rick Perry. The good news? Their numbers are in line with the latest Iowa polls from left-leaning PPP (which has it Perry 21, Romney 18, Bachmann 15) and right-leaning Magellan (Perry 24, Bachmann 22, Romney 19). Read the fine print and the news gets even better: The poll also shows Perry leading the way when respondents were asked to name the candidate they felt would be best at creating jobs and improving the country’s...

People around the country will begin to watch the race in greater numbers and hopefully there won’t be any antics from the Spears, Lohan, Hilton or Ritchie of the world that will distract the younger audience from major issues that effect them more than any part of the electorate. So let their handlers know that the stakes are high. Send them all on a vacations to the Bahamas.
