More than a dozen Turkish navy ships are reportedly still at sea and remain unaccounted for following the botched military coup. The commander of the Turkish navy Admiral Veysel Kosele also remains missing, having been out of contact since Friday evening. It is unclear if he was part of the coup attempt or if he is being held against his will after local media reports said he was tricked into boarding one of the missing ships after being told there was a terrorist attack.

Three soldiers have died, and six others are missing, after a military vehicle was swept away by fast moving flood waters Thursday at Fort Hood. According to a Fort Hood statement, a Light Medium Tactical Vehicle overturned at about 11:30 a.m. at the Owl Creek Tactical low-water crossing and East Range Road. At least 24 people are still missing after a collapse at Guatemala City's largest garbage dump this week that killed four people, the city said on Friday. People sifting through the dump, which receives about 500 truckloads of trash every day, were caught unawares on Wednesday when part of the massive heap of garbage caved in, according to authorities in Guatemala City. HUNTINGTON, WV - According to State Police in Huntington, a Silver Alert has been issued for a missing woman in Huntington. State Police say they are looking for Sonya Carte, 77, of Huntington. Police say Carte suffers from dementia. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt with small white stripes, blue pants, dark green jacket, and white tennis shoes. King County officials say they've finally identified a woman who was found shot to death 26 years ago. The woman was found in October of 1989 behind a freight terminal on Airport Way. The woman, who did not have any identification, had been shot in the torso, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office. All four life rafts from the two choppers that collided off Oahu's North Shore have been recovered on Monday but with no sign of any survivors, according to an official with the U.S. Marines. In spite of this, rescuers on Tuesday will continue searching for the 12 Marines who were on board the two helicopters when they crashed late Thursday. Three U.S. citizens who disappeared last week in Baghdad were kidnapped and are being held by an Iranian-backed Shi'ite militia, two Iraqi intelligence and two U.S. government sources said on Tuesday. The U.S. sources said Washington had no reason to believe Tehran was involved in the kidnapping and does not believe the trio are being held in Iran, which borders Iraq. HONOLULU (AP) — Authorities searching the area where two Marine helicopters crashed off Hawaii have found some life rafts that were carried aboard the aircraft, but still no sign of the 12 crew members who were on board. Three American contractors are missing in Iraq, a senior security official in Baghdad says. "A company filed a report Sunday about three of its staff going missing. ... They are American contractors. We are looking into this report," the official told CNN. Separately, an Iraqi security official with knowledge of the case said that two of the contractors are dual Iraqi-American citizens and that the third is an American national.
