Somalis in U.S. draw FBI attention War at home seen as lure The FBI is expanding contacts with Somali immigrant communities in the U.S., especially in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, fearing that terrorists are recruiting young men for suicide missions in their homeland. A knife was found onboard a SkyWest-Midwest Airlines flight from Minneapolis to Milwaukee Thursday. The Transportation Security Administrations (TSA) confirms that an Exacto-style knife was found onboard the plane Thursday morning. When the knife was found, the plane was returned to the gate at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport where passengers were taken off the plane and re-screened while the airplane was searched. No other contraband was found and all passengers were allowed to re-board. Midwest Airlines Flight YX2502 arrived in Milwaukee at 11:43 a.m, -- about one hour behind schedule.

Six men were removed from an airplane at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Monday evening. Sources say the men, of Middle Eastern ethnicity, behaved in a manner that caused the crew to be concerned. The men were taken off the plane after it returned to the gate and are being questioned by authorities. The remaining passengers were also taken off the flight, U.S. Airways flight 300, bound for Phoenix. Those passengers are being re-screened for boarding.
