(Newser) – Amid the overwhelmingly positive reactions to Micheal Brown's college feat—the Houston teen has gotten full rides to 20 top schools—came an unwelcome one: An anchor and contributor on Fox 5 in Washington, DC, branded his decision to apply to so many schools as "a little ridiculous" and "a little obnoxious," and Brown wants a public apology. He tweeted last week, "This morning, I had a respectful Skype interview with @HollyLiveFox5DC, though I did not get an apology during the interview. I won't allow the interview to air until @fox5dc provides me with a public apology. Where's the #humandecency?"...

The Justice Department says it won't prosecute former Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of an unarmed black 18-year-old that led to weeks of protests. Federal officials concluded there was no evidence to disprove Wilson's testimony that he feared for his safety, nor was there reliable evidence that Michael Brown had his hands up when he was shot.

Despite calling for peaceful protests even in the event of a St. Louis County grand jury’s decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown, the 18-year-old’s step-father was caught on video provoking violence. “Burn this bitch down!” Brown’s step-father, Louis Head, yelled into a raucous crowd in front of Ferguson police headquarters Monday night as St. Louis County prosecutor Bob McCulloch announced the grand jury’s decision not to indict. Head was with Brown’s mother Lesley McSpadden who was being restrained by a friend and yelled “they think this is a f*cking joke!”...

Looking at the non-stop unrest in Ferguson reminds me of what so much of America has become. Our ideology and unsettled grievances result in a tension that is keeping us apart from reason and if left unresolved will lead to even worse consequences and ramifications. I see reasonable people in Ferguson who are willing to see due process play out. After all, 99.9% of us were not there when Michael Brown was shot by police office Darren Wilson. The facts are yet to be determined and that will take a reasonable amount of time. Every news report or sound bite...
