Part I Introduction and Overview On November 6th, 1998, I attended an all-day conference entitled “Guns and Kids: Shaping Public Policy, Protecting Public Health”. This conference was sponsored by several groups, led by the Michigan Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence (MPPGV), the leading gun control organization in our state.
