Mike Pence’s political career is over. That at least is the opinion of the Republican-controlled Indiana Senate, which unanimously adopted a resolution Tuesday congratulating the former vice president and Indiana governor on his “retirement.” Senate Resolution 33 declares the Senate honors Pence “upon his retirement" and "thanks him for his many years of service to the state of Indiana and the United States of America.”

Mayors were going to award the keys to all cities after they heard that President Obama said he was going to deal with youth violence by appointing himself youth Czar and personal hand out stimulus money on every crime ridden street corner in the country. Major city mayors were over come with joy at this news and were personally looking for corners to help bring about fairness and equality to crime ridden areas. Obama said this will end crime as we know it!

Detroit mayor to get national award DETROIT (AP) Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has been recognized as an emerging leader by the Boston-based Initiative for a Competitive Inner City. That comes just days after Time Magazine dubbed him one of the worst big-city mayors. Kilpatrick faces an election this year and he's struggling to plug a major budget deficit. He received the award today at a ceremony in Boston. The I-C-I-C cites successful development efforts in Detroit and says Kilpatrick's work is getting him noticed around the country.
