President Obama has authorized the use of aerial drone strikes in Libya to aid rebels fighting to oust dictator Col. Moammar Gadhafi, Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced Thursday. Gates stressed that even though the United States will begin using the armed Predator drones in Libya, American soldiers will not be deployed to the country. He said the Libyan people will have to remove Gadhafi themselves, though the U.S. "can provide them with some cover from the air." The announcement falls in line with the Obama administration's pledge to not put American boots on the ground to remove Gadhafi from power....

President Obama leads Donald Trump by 15 percentage points in a hypothetical 2012 match-up, but the president is unable to top the 50% level of support even against an opponent some are deriding as a joke. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that the president earns support from 49% of Likely Voters nationwide, while Trump attracts the vote from 34%. Given that choice, 12% would vote for some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.) Only 65% of Republican voters would vote for Trump over Obama. Among voters not affiliated...
  • Running Man: Yes, Obama could lose in 2012—and that explains his budget plans.

From time to time until November 2012, I’ll be offering a snapshot of the emerging presidential race. This is the first. Here’s the headline: Given current national trends and a credible Republican nominee, the presidential election would be very, very close, and President Obama might even lose. The economic situation looks like it will not be good enough for the president to cruise to victory, yet it will not so bad that voters are in the mood to repudiate him. In such a situation, campaign tactics, branding, and the identity of the Republican nominee would likely determine the outcome of...
  • Bill O'Reilly Wrong on Michell's Law License: Voluntarily Inactive but Under a Disciplinary Rule

Bill O'Reilly tried to separate "fact from myth," and put "internet propaganda" to rest. Most of the dialog was about Obama and his legitimacy for natural-born status, but at the end he states Michelle Obama's law license is inactive - which is true, but is not nearly the whole story. Her license is inactive, and it was voluntary, but her choices were not choices you or I might want to face. It appears that she chose to go inactive because she was facing some disciplinary action. We know this because we have a screen shot of the disciplinary record under...
  • Another Body Blow… Trump Goes After Obama’s Close Ties to Crook Rezko

The RNC released this web video titled “Lapse in Judgement” back in 2008. http://youtu.be/Aj4_rtyfFu8 The ad revealed Barack Obama’s dealings with convicted felon and close friend Tony Rezko. This great ad described Obama’s relationship with the Chicago crook. Unfortunately, the left-wing media didn’t do its job and protected Obama from any honest attacks during the 2008 campaign. Today Donald Trump went after Obama’s close ties to convicted criminal Tony Rezko. IB Times reported: President Obama “never did a deal in his life except with Tony Rezko,” said Donald Trump on Fox News. “People should look into that one,” he added....
