The race will get underway at Dodger Stadium around 7 a.m. with a temperature forecast at about 53 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. World record attempts for the heaviest person to complete a marathon and largest cheerleading dance will be made at the March 20 Los Angeles Marathon, race organizers announced today. Kelly Gneiting, of Ft. Defiance, Ariz., a 410-pound statistician at the Ft. Defiance Indian Hospital, will try to enter the Guinness World Records as the heaviest marathon finisher. Gneiting completed the 2008 marathon in 11 hours, 52 minutes, 11 seconds, but was not credited with the record because he did not follow the Guinness requirements.
