This would be the largest Attack on US soil since 9/11.”... First, there was an arrest in Vegas over a teen convert to Islam who wanted to kill Jews. Now there’s been another arrest in what appears to be a more sophisticated plot. Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a Pakistani Muslim living in Canada, planned to carry out terrorist attacks against Jews in New York. There was an unnamed American Muslim also involved. During those conversations, Khan confirmed that he and a U.S.-based ISIS supporter (Associate-1) had been planning to carry out an attack in a particular U.S. city (City-1). Among other...

Adolescence is undeniably one of the most visceral pieces of television of the decade, tracking a family thrown into the worst-case scenario as their son, Jamie (Owen Cooper), is arrested on suspicion of murder. The show utilizes real-time filmmaking, with each episode being one continuous take, to give a sense of unfaltering reality and immersion. This sense of authenticity makes the case feel real, and with so many crime dramas drawing from real-life events, it's easy to assume Jamie’s story is based on true events. However, the details of the story are not based on one case in particular. Instead,...

Ronan Kanda's brutal murder, a result of knives bought illegally online, should never have happened. Working with his family, my government promised the toughest crackdown yet on knife sales online – and that’s exactly what we will deliver.

LONDON, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Britain on Sunday said it would force retailers to implement stricter age-verification checks to stop children buying knives, in a tightening of policy days after a teenager admitted killing three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance event. Axel Rudakubana's knife attack in July was described last week as one of the most harrowing moments in Britain's history by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and has triggered a public inquiry into the failings that allowed it to happen. While that inquiry is expected to focus on why state institutions failed to act on warnings about the...

Knives don't kill people. People kill people. Beege had a great post yesterday about Kier Starmer blaming Amazon.com for selling knives online, allowing the Southport terrorist to get his hands on one. The fact that the perpetrator was a known wolf, had threatened to go on a killing spree at a school, and had multiple arrests was not the problem. It was the knife that did it. Everything about this case stinks to high heaven. Britons are in jail right now for telling the truth about the killer--apparently, saying true things is a form of terrorism that actually gets you...

A Florida pizza delivery worker was so angry over a tip she got from a customer that she stabbed the woman multiple times, according to police. Brianna Alvelo, 22, got ticked off Sunday after dropping off a pie at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee when the customer gave her a stingy tip — so she returned with a pal and stabbed the woman, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release posted on Facebook. “Alvelo, who was armed with a knife, began attacking one of the victims,” the sheriff’s office said. “The victim was stabbed multiple times, and...

The United States District Court for the Southern District of California (August 23, 2024) and the Supreme Judicial Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (August 27, 2024) reached opposite opinions on whether bladed weapons qualify as arms mentioned in the text of the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment reads: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. In 2008, the Supreme Court examined the meaning of the words in the amendment. Heller found the meaning of “arms” to be the same at...

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution undisputedly protects the individual right to own and carry firearms for self-defense, sport, and other uses. But the amendment actually says nothing about guns; it refers to "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms," of which firearms are just one example of what dictionaries define as "a means (such as a weapon) of offense or defense." In Massachusetts, last week, that resulted in a decision by the state's highest court striking down a law against switchblade knives.Protected by the Second Amendment "We conclude switchblades are not 'dangerous and unusual'...

Representative Eli Crane of Arizona, during Tuesday’s U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security hearing, asked Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris questions regarding Trump rally shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks’s home. The former Navy Seal, representing Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District, asked Col. Paris, “Did your team make entry and conduct any investigation of the suspect’s home?” Paris responded, “I believe we had people that participated in securing it; there were bomb assets that we provided on the night of.” Crane continued, “Did you get any reports from any of your agents of anything fishy at the home?” Paris answered, “I...

Another week, another Muslim terror stabbing.. The “Islamophobia” alerts are really flashing red in Australia. This started with a Muslim teen stabbing a bishop in Sydney, Australia. That led to the arrests of 7 Muslim teens. It turned out that they wanted to go on a rampage killing Jews. And now a white teen 16-year-old convert to Islam stabbed a man in the back in Perth and was shot dead by police. The 16-year-old was apparently in an “online radicalization” program for years which suggests that he’d converted to Islam a while back and the authorities had been tracking him...

Washington State has been pushing for more infringements of Second Amendment rights for several years. SB 5444 is a bill that follows New York, California, and New Jersey in expanding “sensitive locations” as a way to infringe on Second Amendment rights. The current law restricts carry in courtrooms, jails, and secure areas of airports. SB 5444 expands the ban on the carry of weapons to libraries, zoos, aquariums, and, especially, “transit stations” or “transit facilities.” Transit stations or transit facilities are defined to include bus stops, shelters, and all properties that are by a “transit authority” for the purpose of...

More teenage homicides were recorded in London last year than in 2022 after 21 teenagers were killed. Of those who died, 18 teenagers were stabbed, two were shot and one was killed after his moped was hit by a car. The number is up on 2022, when 14 teenage homicides were recorded, but lower than the peak of 30 in 2021. It follows the death of 16-year-old Harry Pitman, who became the last teenage homicide victim in 2023. He was stabbed and killed on New Year's Eve in Primrose Hill, Camden, as he visited the park with friends to see...

Three days ago, the New York Post published an item on a recent tragedy in rural France—a “mob of about 10 knife-wielding thugs” had forced their way into a town celebration described by the mayor as “a very simple ball with a sound system organized by the village festival committee.” In the immediate aftermath, details about the identities and motive of the attackers weren’t “known” (but of course if you have a brain, they were); initial stories indicated a “brawl” while the prosecutor of Valence even suggested that the attack was to “settle a score” between rival criminal gangs. Now...

France has declared a maximum security alert in the wake of a terrorist attack at a school that left one teacher dead and several other people injured. A maximum security alert means "vigilance and maximum protection in the event of an imminent threat of a terrorist attack or directly after an attack". There are also "concerns the whole territory may be targeted". A source told Le Parisien the man rushed into school shouting “Allahu Akbar" as he attacked the Gambetta high school in Arras on Friday morning.

A suspected police impersonator was apprehended near the Capitol on Monday and found with a stash of knives and a chainsaw blade, according to authorities. When Capitol Police searched him, they found the weapons, according to a release from the Capitol Police. When the Secret Service arrived and searched the man’s SUV, the officers discovered fake police equipment, shell casings, a smoke grenade and a gas mask. It is unclear why Viner was...

Today in Liberal NinnyNanny News, we have sad tidings for Canadians with unapproved hobbies:In recent years shipping swords around the world has become increasingly difficult and complicated – and most recently CANADA seems to have singled out swords as 'dangerous goods' and have started returning our shipments sent from the US to Canada, even singling swords out with their own 'dangerous goods' checkbox along with air shocks, guns, ink cartridges, knives, liquids, swords and the dreaded 'other' category. The merit of this spurious decision is a topic for another time, but least to say that lumping swords in with Airshocks,...

As I near 70, no matter how much I exercise, my grip has become weaker, and this is a problem for consistently pulling pocket knives, small flashlights and small pepper spray out of my pants pocket with 2-3 fingers. I carry them on a Pocket Shield. A bit expensive, but IMHO worth it. (Belt carry isn't legal, and too problematic where I live, and yes I am working to move...) I noticed that I have less trouble with a larger flashlight that has aggressive knurling, but that light is realistically too large and too heavy for daily pocket carry). Was...

Confessed Highland Park shooter Robert Crimo III admitted to cops three years ago that he was a depressed teenage drug user when quizzed about threatening to “kill everyone” in his family, newly released documents show. A Highland Park police report details why the then-18-year-old alleged shooter was flagged as a “clear and present danger” in 2019 — just a few months before his dad helped him start amassing the arsenal he allegedly used to kill seven and injure dozens at his local Fourth of July parade.
