Forecourt fuel prices will increase from midnight tonight — adding €1.28 and €1.48 to the cost of a 60-liter fill of petrol and auto diesel respectively. Qatar Airways completed the first commercial flight this week using fuel produced from natural gas, the company said. The flight used fuel from the Pearl GTL plant in Qatar, through a partnership between the airline and the plant, jointly owned by Qatar Petroleum and Shell. Apparently, as of October 1, 2007, our government Watermelon Weasels in the EPA have rendered most ordinary kerosene (that you can buy at the pump for a reasonable price) unfit for portable kerosene home heaters.
