Last week, Elon Musk was calling for President Donald Trump’s impeachment. This week, Musk is back to praising the administration, softening his tone after the two powerful leaders’ very public breakup. The whiplash came as protests erupted in Los Angeles over actions by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and immigration raids. Over the weekend, Musk deleted some of his most incendiary X posts about the president, including the call for his impeachment and the allegation, without providing evidence, that Trump’s name appeared in documents related to the crimes of convicted sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein. Musk appeared to wholeheartedly...

Someone on Twitter also asked me why I never criticize Trump. The answer is simple. I spent four years from 2016 to 2020 not only criticizing Trump but actively trying to bring him down. I was fully on board with Russiagate. I marched in the Women’s March. I went along with the lie that the Access Hollywood tape proved he was a sexual assaulter (though deep down I knew that was not true). For the last ten years, there has been nothing but criticism of Trump day in and day out, 24/7, every second of every day. Do I think...

And how Trump shattered the Establishment’s manufactured consent. There was a moment in the late spring of 2015 when I realized that the ground beneath our feet was shifting. During an appearance on Fox News, Charles Krauthammer was asked to predict the Republican and Democrat nominees for the 2016 election. He said rather confidently that the nominees would be “Jeb” Bush and Hillary Clinton. When asked to explain his reasoning, Dr. Krauthammer pointed out that Bush and Clinton had the money, the political infrastructure, and the backing of their respective party elites. I found his predictions unsettling — partly because...

Hmmmm. As I posted the morning after the “election”, stay frosty. It’s all just too weird and “off” to be trusted. And, sure enough, what are the headlines of the past 36 hour news cycle? Over at Ace of Spades, which I keep an eye on to gauge the state of the deluded right, this: “Good morning, kids. Not to put too fine a point on it but the Democrats and the institutional Left, aided and abetted by the GOP-wing of their uniparty, are attempting to overthrow the election and the will of the American people.” “Republicans say Obamacare won’t...

Today, everyone knows that professional wrestling is a predetermined stage show -- Vince McMahon himself publicly admitted it 23 years ago. However, for most of the last century, wrestling fans believed every storyline and bit of pageantry as the God's honest truth, and if you made your living as a wrestler, it was your sworn duty to protect the illusion at all costs. Some went a little further than others, though. And some went a lot further ...

I have noticed more and more lately that the current political situation in our country very much resembles the old timey, pre-McMahon "professional rasslin'. I may have even mentioned it to some of you in PM's. But now it's getting to where the resemblance is no longer funny. It's downright scary. As an old-time "mark," kindly allow me to point out the similarities. In old-time "rasslin," there were two kinds of wrestlers: the "babyfaces" (or simply "faces") who followed the rules and acted like role models, and the "heels" who not only cheated but insulted the fans and were downright...

On this weekend's Fox News Watch, panelist Jim Pinkerton proposed a simple way to clear up much of the murk surrounding JournoList. Let the Washington Post respond to the 20 questions about the matter that MRC head Brent Bozell has posed to the Post's executive editor, Marcus Brauchli, in an open letter. JournoList was created by lefty blogger Ezra Klein in 2007, who continued to run it after becoming a Post staffer in 2009. Responding to Pinkerton's proposal, Newsday columnist Ellis Henican, a liberal member of the News Watch panel, swung and missed at Bozell . . . View video...
