Anyone who has listened to radio talk show host Joyce Kaufman, 850 WFTL, knows that she is not shy about speaking her mind. She is a Tea Party favorite who helped propel Rep. Allen West to his position, but some of her fans are shocked at a recent proclamation that she will vote for Barack Obama if Mitt Romney becomes the Republican nominee. Kaufman is unwavering in her position and reiterated it on the record with BPR. (Audio file)

Radio talk show host Joyce Kaufman is “seriously considering” running for Congress. She wouldn’t say much more about her plans Wednesday night after a political gathering in Coral Springs, where she tantalized the crowd about the possibility. Kaufman, 57, is an independent, registered with no party affiliation. But she’s a favorite of conservative Republicans and enjoys a strong following among people in the tea party movement. She described herself as a “straight, evangelical, Hispanic with a Jewish heritage.”

It seems that whenever you hear about a "rightwing" hate crime nowadays, it turns out the the perpetrator turns out to be a leftwinger...much to the disappointment of liberals who continue to maintain the fiction about a violent Tea Party movement. And the latest case of a violent "rightwinger" who turns out to really be a leftwinger comes from my own county of Broward here in South Florida. With my condolences to the left who have been "robbed" of yet another example of supposed Tea Party "hate crime," here is a report on the arrest of the suspect by Bob...

Rep.-elect Allen West (R-Fla.) is defending his choice to hire a conservative radio host as his chief of staff, even after she turned down the job, saying the "liberal left" unfairly went into "attack dog mode." “I was not hiring a talk radio host; I was hiring a very brilliant political mind, someone that has been in South Florida politics for 20-plus years,” West said in an interview with CNN on Sunday. “But unfortunately, the liberal left showed that I guess they are threatened and intimidated by me, and so they went into the attack dog mode, which is something...

Rep.-elect Allen West (R-Fla.) announced Thursday that a controversial radio host would not serve as his chief of staff after all. West said in a statement that Joyce Kaufman, the conservative radio talk show host who he'd previously named to the top staff position in his office, would not be his chief of staff. "It is with deep regret that this congressional office and the people of CD 22 will not have Joyce Kaufman as my chief of staff," West said in a statement. "Joyce is a good friend, and will remain loyal to South Floridians and to me. I...

U.S. Rep.-elect Allen West, R-Plantation, is going with an outsider critic of Washington, D.C., as his top staffer and an insider who knows how the Capitol works as his No. 2 aide. West tapped one of South Florida's most prominent conservative voices, radio talk show host Joyce Kaufman, as his chief of staff. “Joyce gets South Florida politics better than most people,” said Josh Grodin, who managed West’s successful election campaign and will become deputy chief of staff. Grodin said the two jobs are the only hiring decisions West has made so far. He was elected one week ago, defeating...

Responding to customers' complaints, Publix has stopped distributing a free 2010 calendar that marked Dec. 7 as the start of the Islamic New Year but excluded Pearl Harbor's anniversary. Joyce Kaufman, whose radio talk show on WFTL-AM 850 is broadcast from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach counties, as well as other locations, criticized the supermarket chain on her show Wednesday, saying the company failed to include Pearl Harbor in a calendar that it had widely provided at supermarkets in recent weeks.

On Freedom Radio tonight at 8 PM Eastern we'll speak with conservative Doug Hoffman (doughoffmanforcongress.com) who is closing fast on lib Dede Scozzafava for the U.S. House seat vacated by John McHugh (NY-23) in a special election Nov 3. To quote Michelle Malkin, Scozzafava is "an ACORN-friendly, union-pandering, tax-and-spend radical Republican." Next up is conservative and former Marine Jesse Kelly, of Arizona's 8th District, who is vying for the House seat there (votejessekelly.com). Mark Levin, aka THE GREAT ONE, has declared Mr. Kelly “the perfect candidate.” And then it is our pleasure and honor to welcome Joyce Kaufman from WFTL...

I consider myself a reasonable person. I do not subscribe to any of the many conspiracy theories designed to strike fear in the hearts of patriotic Americans. I have studied world history and American history and am a paid political commentator with my own daily talk radio program. And the news this week that my colleague Dr. Michael Savage has been banned from Great Britain sent a shudder down my spine. While Michael joins the likes of the Honorable Geert Wilders, Dutch parliamentarian, he is also on the list with racists, murderers and radical Islamic terrorists. Oh, excuse me, "man...
