President Donald Trump released a glowing statement in support of Pennsylvania Republican gubernatorial nominee Doug Mastriano. On Tuesday, the 45th president said, “Doug Mastriano will be a GREAT Governor for Pennsylvania. I know him well and he is a fantastic guy.”As the November midterm elections quickly approach, Mastriano appears to have a legitimate chance at flipping the state of Pennsylvania and securing a major win for the Republican Party, despite facing opposition from establishment Republicans like Mitch McConnell. In a recent Trafalgar Group poll, Josh Shapiro, the Democrat nominee, only held a two percent lead over Mastriano, well within the...

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Political signs in southeastern Pennsylvania have been found booby-trapped with razor blades, which resulted in sliced fingers for one resident, police said. Upper Makefield Township police said Sunday that a campaign sign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro was placed without permission on someone's property, and while trying to remove it the resident found that razor blades had been "placed around the perimeter of the sign." "Obviously, this was designed to inflict punishment on anyone who attempted to remove the sign," police said in a social media post.

A group of violent Philadelphia ATV drivers was caught on video attacking police by throwing bricks and bottles at the officers before fleeing the scene, police said. The group unleashed its assault on police just one day after a Republican city councilman accused the administration of Mayor Jim Kenney, a Democrat, of instructing officers "not to enforce the law." The Philadelphia Police Department shared video on Tuesday showing "a large group of people riding dirt bikes and ATV’s" around a gas station near Delaware Avenue and Spring Garden Street, police said. According to police, a dirt bike rider initially crashed...

Democrats in Pennsylvania have tried to rebrand Josh Shapiro, the left-wing gubernatorial candidate. After years of pushing the Left's agendas as Pennsylvania's attorney general, followed by being a pawn for Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf, Josh Shapiro, the Democratic candidate for governor, is trying to appear as a centrist in the election. Yet, voters must look no further than Shapiro's refusal to prosecute gun crimes in Philadelphia to notice his true intentions. Shapiro is a wolf in sheep's clothing and cares more about left-wing political agendas than innocent people. Unless Pennsylvanians enjoy fearing for their lives while walking through cities, voters...

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL)’s political action committee, Country First, on Tuesday announced its endorsements for the 2022 mid-terms, which were essentially a slate of people running against Trump-endorsed candidates, including six Democrats, according to a press release. Kinzinger, who opted not to run for re-election after voting to impeach former President Donald Trump, said in a statement: “Now more than ever, it’s critical we elect leaders up and down the ballot who are loyal to the Constitution and willing to be a bulwark for democracy – regardless of their political party affiliation.” “We must set partisan politics and ideology aside...

It’s going to be a red-letter week for Sen. Doug Mastriano’s gubernatorial campaign: the Republican underdog is finally launching a television advertising campaign. Mastriano’s campaign announced Monday that its first ads of the race will go up later this week in a fundraising pitch to supporters. The campaign did not respond to questions about the ads’ content but stated in the email that “our team is putting the final touches on them as we speak.” A PennLive check with advertising trackers Kantar/CMAG confirmed that the Mastriano campaign has reserved $234,000 from Oct. 4 through Oct. 10, concentrated in the Pittsburgh...

Pennsylvania’s Republican nominee for governor — ... state Sen. Doug Mastriano — is under attack by the establishment elite .... And ... the Republican Governors Association has signed on for the attack.… Mastriano is a 30-year active-duty combat veteran who retired as a colonel in the Army. Apart from being deployed to Iraq for Operation Desert Storm (1991), assigned to the U.S. forces liberating Kuwait, in the post–9/11 world he was assigned to NATO and had three tours in Afghanistan. He ended his military career as a professor at the U.S. Army War College .... He has four master’s degrees...

Polling from the Trafalgar Group shows Mastriano within two points of Shapiro, at 45.7% to 47.7%, respectively. That indicates the race may be significantly closer than data from earlier weeks demonstrated.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — In the same spot where he spoke to thousands of people at a raucous State Capitol rally demanding an end to pandemic restrictions in April 2020, Doug Mastriano appeared on Saturday before a crowd of just a few dozen — about half of whom were volunteers for his ragtag campaign for governor of Pennsylvania. Mr. Mastriano, an insurgent state senator who in the spring cruised to the Republican nomination, is learning this fall that while it is one thing to win a crowded G.O.P. primary on the back of online fame and Donald J. Trump’s endorsement, it...

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro continues to hold a double-digit lead in the race for Governor, according to a new Muhlenberg College/Morning Call poll. The poll found Shapiro with 53% support, consistent with a CBS/YouGov poll released earlier this month. A Trafalgar Poll also released in September showed just a two point lead for Shapiro. With Mastriano receiving 42%, only four percent of voters in the Muhlenberg poll said they were undecided or would support a third party candidate. Shapiro also held an 18 point lead over Mastriano in favorable rating with a near mirror image of support: 31 percent...

I can't stress this enough: at its core, Democratic politics is about criminalizing opposition to their party and ideology. Dissenting ideas are "disinformation" and must be censored by Big Tech. Trump voters are inherently criminal "("insurrectionists") and should be imprisoned.

Crowds at events for former US president and a Republican candidate in Pennsylvania raise their right hands in unison in possible reference to QAnon conspiracy movement JTA-Crowds at separate weekend rallies headlined by former US president Donald Trump and his favored nominee for Pennsylvania governor, Doug Mastriano, raised their right hands in unison, a gesture critics of the two politicians compared to the Nazi salute. President Joe Biden got confused while delivering a speech promoting Democrat candidates in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. “Please please elect the Attorney General to the Senate, and elect that big ol’ boy to be governor,” Biden asked voters in the audience. Biden was clearly mistaken about what office each candidate was running for. The attorney general is Josh Shapiro, running to be governor and the “big ol’ boy” is Lt Gov. John Fetterman, who is running for the Senate. [cut] Referring to Fetterman, Biden noted he could not join them at the event, but he endorsed him as a “powerful voice”...

Seven more Republican leaders have announced their endorsement for Pennsylvania's Democratic candidate for governor Josh Shapiro, following photos of GOP state Sen. Doug Mastriano wearing a Confederate military uniform. This comes one month after nine Republicans vowed to support the Democratic candidate and called Mastriano an "extremist" who threatens American democracy. According to a statement released by the Shapiro campaign on Tuesday, the group includes Michael Chertoff, the former US Secretary of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush, and Mario Civera, a former state representative. Shapiro, the state's attorney general said he was proud to receive the endorsement from...
