Pennsylvania’s Republican nominee for governor — ... state Sen. Doug Mastriano — is under attack by the establishment elite .... And ... the Republican Governors Association has signed on for the attack.
… Mastriano is a 30-year active-duty combat veteran who retired as a colonel in the Army. Apart from being deployed to Iraq for Operation Desert Storm (1991), assigned to the U.S. forces liberating Kuwait, in the post–9/11 world he was assigned to NATO and had three tours in Afghanistan. He ended his military career as a professor at the U.S. Army War College .... He has four master’s degrees and holds a doctorate in history.
In 2019, retired from the military, he ran for the Pennsylvania state Senate ... winning in a landslide. In the spring of 2022, Mastriano ran in a nine-candidate race for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, defeating the other eight candidates in a landslide with 43 percent of the vote.
And now? Now Mastriano is being accused of being — you guessed it — an “extremist.” The charge comes from his Democratic opponent, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro. And, but of course, the usual establishment elites in the GOP and elsewhere on the right are taking aim at Mastriano for — oh, the horror — standing up for election integrity in a state notorious for voter fraud.
….

No less than the Republican Governors Association is failing to do the basics of its supposed job — supporting GOP nominees for governor. ...
***
Can he win? Yes. Can he lose? Yes.
But in either case, the real long-term question is whether the establishment elites, who run, in this case, everything from the Republican Governors Association and the left-wing media to woke corporations, should continue to get support from grassroots Republicans ….

He is not a member of the club of the anointed.
Our Pa Gov and Senate seats are critical to win!!
Come on PA conservatives, get off your duffs and vote. Nothing we can do w the steal coming from Filthadelphia, but you must vote for us to have a Chance !
He’s a damn good man… Thank you for posting this
I agree.
I still can’t believe Fetterman is polling at 47%…the guy isn’t even coherent. What the hellos wrong with this state? PA used to vote for the rational “center”… something just doesn’t make sense.
And yes, 5 in our family and all solid red votes from us in PA!
RINOs would rather a Democrat win than have 'their' party taken over by MAGA.
In 2020, the RINOs looked the other way while an election was stolen from one man.
This November, the RINOs will again look the other way while MAGA candidates are cheated. Here's hoping MAGA has an army of boots on the ground who have become poll watchers. This is how VA flipped from blue to red in 2021 -- too many eyes on the process.
Welll Trump’s folks just called with Trump encouraging voting for Doug Mastriano ....which I will be doing.
'Nuff said.
Pennsylvania Ping!

Long list of them on here who won’t vote for Oz because they are idiots. No other state’s voters are that hard headed. They didn’t get their beloved Barnette (who was a s**t candidate) so they’re going to help Fetterman win!
He’s the sitting LT Governor...people on here forget that.
Looks like they have the government they deserve.
It’s a Senate seat so it affects all of us. I’d rather them sit out their governor’s race!
That thing was appointed by current governor, so not really applicable, but the fact that Fetterman’s current position of lt. governor is elected kind of makes the same point.
The voting part is easy for me. I have plans to continue to give money to Mastriano since the big folks have no intention of giving him a dime much less a good work.
I have already put hundreds into his campaign and more is on the way I will increase the pace of the giving in the weeks ahead.
He needs support from inside and outside Pennsylvania...

I don't think the problem is with PA conservatives. Doug has their vote. Doug's headwinds are as follows:
1. The PA GOP gives him lukewarm support. Why? The PA GOP leadership is predominately made up of RINOS like Jake Corman, who has always opposed Mastriano.
2. The National GOP gives him lukewarm support. Why? The National GOP is led by RINOS like McConnell and McCarthy.
3. The PA dem voter fraud machine. The PA republican party has done little to mitigate the perennial fraud in Philly, Pittsburgh and other dem strongholds. Directly or indirectly complicit, the PA GOP supported PA Act77 in 2020, which allows for mail-in-ballots for any reason. PA Act 77 is a dem voter fraud dream.
