A candidate for Orange County Republican County chair was arrested for beating up a poll worker outside an early voting site Tuesday afternoon. 70-year-old Jerry Wilson was arrested for Class A misdemeanor assault and taken to the Orange County jail. Vidor Police Chief Dave Shows said the victim in the attack was bleeding. He had a bloody nose, and injuries around the eyes and head.
