Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), who voted to convict President Trump for abuse of power last week, claimed on Sunday that he “agonized” over the responsibility that came with his decision and said he had “hoped beyond hope” he would not find President Trump guilty. Speaking to KSL’s Sunday Edition during the weekend, Romney, who asserted last week that the president “committed an act so extreme and egregious that it rises to the level of a high crime and misdemeanor,” said he “agonized over the responsibility that ultimately would come [his] way” and proclaimed that he “hoped beyond hope” he would...

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because The Campaign Never Ends) The short attention span in today’s U.S. society never ceases to amaze. – No one should be surprised – although many seem to be – about RINO skunk Mitt Romney’s support of the Democrats’ impeachment effort against President Donald Trump. This opportunity is, after all, the very reason why Romney decided to run for that Utah senate seat at the urging of Bill Kristol and the NeverTrump Nitwit Army, which currently consists of about 15 people and Kristol’s pet cat, Mr. Bigglesworth. Perhaps we should call it the NeverTrump Nitwit...

Carla Marinucci, the San Francisco Chronicle’s Political Writer, had some sad news for her liberal readers this morning: Sarah Palin is alive and kicking — and kicking ass in California. Carla Marinucci cited Sarah Palin’s speech on Froiday night, which raised a record $200,000-plus for the Cal State University Stanislaus Foundation, money much needed for a school in a recession at a time when donors are low on cash as well. Wrote Carla Marinucci: “After months of buildup, including investigations, outrage and celebration, the former Alaska governor’s trip to California’s farm belt over the weekend proved beyond a doubt that...

I almost feel bad for Mitt Romney. He's obviously a smart guy, and when he was governor of Massachusetts he was pretty much the technocratic kind of governor the voters expected -- not pushing conservative social issues too far, creating a health-care reform that's a lot like what the Obama plan ended up looking like. But since he wants to be president, he has to get past a Republican primary electorate that really doesn't care about smarts and technocratic skill. Identity politics is king in the GOP, and Mitt just doesn't have an identity he can hang his hat on....

Former Massachusetts Governor and 2008 presidential candidate Mitt Romney has already decided on a timeline for announcing a possible 2012 run for the White House. Former Massachusetts Governor and 2008 presidential candidate Mitt Romney has already decided on a timeline for announcing a possible 2012 run for the White House. In an interview with MyFox Boston Thursday, Romney insisted he had not yet made up his mind about a second run for the White House. However, the man who finished runner-up to John McCain in 2008 has already envisioned the timeframe for a possible rollout. Asked by MyFox Boston’s anchor...

The title of Mitt Romney's new book, "No Apology: The Case for American Greatness," is a not-so-subtle jab at the visits President Obama made overseas when he first took office, derided by the Right as the "American Apology Tour." Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has published a new book, "No Apology: the Case for American... Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has published a new book, "No Apology: the Case for American Greatness," which sets the stage for a second presidential run in 2012. BOSTON (AP) - A rap star says former Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney first touched him—and not the other way around—during a confrontation aboard an Air Canada flight that was preparing to take off from Vancouver, British Columbia. Sky Blu, whose given name is Skyler Gordy, says in a video posted Friday on TMZ.com that he was trying to go to sleep when he leaned his seat back on the Vancouver-to-Los Angeles flight Monday. He says Romney loudly told him several times to straighten it and then grabbed his shoulder.

In his new book, Mitt makes himself over as a muscular defender of America. Few things are more predictable than a GOP presidential candidate posturing as a he-man protector of America, and depicting his Democratic counterpart as an effete, appeasing girlie-man on the dangerous world stage. Mitt Romney — who himself has no personal military or foreign-policy experience of any kind — may not seem well-suited to the Republican role, but hey, if draft-dodgers like George W. Bush and Dick Cheney could use the formula against a genuine war hero, anything is possible. Romney, presumably warming up for 2012, flexes...

Thus prompting the question: How uncool did he used to be? "He’s changed, he’s changed. You know, he’s actually — before he was an outsider coming in and he was, you know, kind of, you know, stiff. But he’s actually, like, funny, he’s like — when he was at my events he was cracking jokes, when we were on the bus — I was like, who is this guy? He’s really kind of, I think, settled into his role kind of being the elder statesman of the party and everything he went through as president. It’s kind of, and once...

Ex-Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney was just talking on Fox News about Washington Democrats' “attitude of arrogance” on Fox News. Speaking from Scott Brown's HQ, Romney was a key backer of the little-known state senator back when he was seen as a sacrificial lamb. While some are already touting Brown as a 2012 presidential contender, Romney could be the big beneficiary. He’s helped deliver the 41st GOP vote, perhaps derailing Obamacare. Activists will remember that.

Depictions ‘took place entirely in her imagination,’ says Wallace. NBC NEWS and NEWS SERVICES NEW YORK - Former McCain campaign senior adviser Nicolle Wallace says Sarah Palin's book "Going Rogue" is "based on fabrications," and that the basis for Palin’s depictions of her and former McCain campaign director Steve Schmidt as villains "took place entirely in her imagination." In a statement to The Rachel Maddow Show, the former McCain spokesperson repeatedly used the word "fiction" to describe Palin's narrative and echoed criticisms by other former McCain staffers. "She [Palin] probably has a legitimate complaint that things could have been better...

After the New England Patriots disasterous decision Sunday night not to punt on fourth down with the ball on the Indianapolis Colts' 28-yard line, former Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney, had every right to be ticked off. Especially considering that the Pats had the lead with little more than 2 minutes left in the game. Is it possible that the team's supposedly brilliant coach, Bill Belichick, got confused and thought the Manning brother waiting patiently on the opposing sidelines was Eli and not Peyton? Whatever the case, the Colts went on to win the game with 13 seconds left in the...
