Sen. John Thune (R-SD) had some pointed comments for Democrats complaining about President Donald Trump’s decision to pardon almost 1,500 individuals convicted on charges related to the riot at the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021. The president rankled more than a few feathers when he issued the pardons, with high-profile Democrats criticizing the move.
