EAST HARTFORD, Connecticut – Two teens are dead after they forced their way into a home last week in East Hartford, Connecticut. Police identified the intruders as 16-year-old Isaiah Jose Lopez of Hartford and 15-year-old Isaiah Miguel Nevarez of Meriden. According to the Hartford Courant, the two allegedly entered the home and physically attacked the resident who had a handgun and shot them both, police said Friday. PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla. — A homeowner shot and killed an accused intruder over the weekend in southeastern Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Just after 4 p.m. on Oct. 31, Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the OSBI after a home invasion turned shooting near the intersection of County Road 4330 and Highway 147. Officials say 25-year-old Shawn Blake Watts arrived at a residence on North 4327 Lane, entered the home and assaulted the homeowner. Officers responded to the home in the 800 block of North New Haven Avenue about 1:40 a.m. Friday and found the homeowner bleeding from the head after being pistol whipped. Another man — believed to be one of two who entered the home while the homeowner, his wife and child were sleeping — was found on the floor in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head. The homeowner said his dog’s barking alerted them to the intruders’ presence. Despite being pistol whipped, the homeowner told investigators he managed to take the gun away and shoot both intruders.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety was called to the 900 block of Stockbridge Avenue near Portage Street just after 4:20 p.m. Wednesday to reports of gunshots fired. When officers arrived at the scene, a resident told them he had shot one of several intruders.

RALEIGH — A tenant in a student apartment complex in West Raleigh shot and killed an armed intruder early Saturday, police said. Vincent Reed Bellamy, 23, told police the intruder broke into his apartment and held a handgun to his face.
