NC:Police: Resident kills armed intruder in Wolf Creek apartments

RALEIGH — A tenant in a student apartment complex in West Raleigh shot and killed an armed intruder early Saturday, police said.

Vincent Reed Bellamy, 23, told police the intruder broke into his apartment and held a handgun to his face. Bellamy was able to retrieve his own handgun and shot the man, who was identified as Trevor Anders Herne, 35.

But the anti-Second Amendment types say that students do not need guns.

This student didn’t need a gun. All he had to do was call 911, wait until all prior call were cleared, calmly explain to the operator what the situation was, pacify the intruder until help arrived, make sure his pet dog had been safely locked in the bathroom, open the door for the police and point out the perp.

Curious, is this the reporter's way of letting us know that the victim and the criminal are the same race?

You'd think that the word would get around that a lot of people are armed and prepared to fight back. The perps who ignore that fact continue to be culled.
