<p>The Pocahontas Parkway toll plaza was built where some of Virginia's Indians once hunted, fished and lived. Some say Indian spirits still inhabit the area. The witching hour was close at hand as a delivery truck etched its dark silhouette against the equally dark night sky of July 15. A thin crescent moon was pale against the horizon, casting little light on the recently opened Pocahontas Parkway.</p>
