I am the only son of a U.S. Army tank sergeant. My father died when I was only 1 1/2 so I have no memory of him. I do know that he was in country from 1968-1970. He was wounded and these wounds eventually led to his death. Almost all of his family is deceased and I would really like to find out some info about his units, battles engaged in,where he was stationed, etc. I have his medals and the flag from his coffin in a shadow box that my mother gave me when I graduated from high school....

There are 12 golfers playing 4 rounds of golf as foursomes. I have been asked to come up with a schedule that has each golfer playing at least one round of golf with the other eleven golfers. My 82 year old mother is buying a new computer. I found a cheap system (179.00) from a reliable retailer (Fryes) It has 1.6gherz Athlon motherboard, 128mb of ram, cd, 56modem and 40gig harddrive, yada, yada, yada--but it comes with Lindows installed. see url. Is there any problem with reformatting and putting XP on the system? That's the question. No discussion of the evils of Microsoft, the Mac, or Lindows, or why I need another whizbang, please.

Please I am not looking for sympathy - just advise Last night I took a header off the deck onto concrete. A slight concussion, abrasions, and a broken arm. It can't be casted for a few days since the bone was dislocated. luckily it was my left arm. I am determined to not let it slow me down ( unless I have to have surgery.) I travel from business to business and have to carry a briefcase and a computer (rolling case). Are there any freepers out there who have had to deal with this? 1. what pain medicine works...

FReepers, I need some help. I just got a new laptop. When I close it up, I guess it goes into sleep mode. For some reason it automatically signs out of AOL Instant Messenger.
