Imagine if you could drive at night with your high beams on all the time, bathing the road ahead in bright light but without ever blinding other drivers. In Europe and Asia, many cars offer adaptive driving beam headlights that can do this. ADB is a lighting technology that has been available for many years in other parts of the world including Europe, China and Canada, but not in the United States. It can actually shape the light coming from headlights rather than scattering it all over the road. If there’s a car coming in the other direction, or one...

DETROIT – Anyone who has ever been temporarily blinded by high-beam headlights from an oncoming car will be happy to hear this. U.S. highway safety regulators are about to allow new high-tech headlights that can automatically tailor beams so they focus on dark areas of the road and don't create glare for oncoming drivers. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it issued a final rule allowing what's called “adaptive driving beam headlights” on new vehicles. It will go into effect when published in the Federal Register in the next few days. The headlights, commonly used in Europe, have LED...

President Biden is “like a deer in the headlights when it comes to standing up to oppression,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) claimed Tuesday night while discussing the ongoing unrest in Cuba. “Freedom needs you now, President Biden,” Graham said on Fox News’ “Hannity”. “The people of Cuba need you to speak up. You should go on television very soon and say, ‘We stand with your right to demand freedom in Cuba, in our backyard. We’re with you, we stand against the regime that’s putting people in jail and snatching them off the streets.’ “This is a moment for Joe Biden...

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer that has a timer for the headlights. Apparently it's messed up because the headlights stay on WAAAAAY longer than they should. I know it's a safety/convenience feature, but it's draining the battery...even a brand new one I put on a month ago. Is there a way to disable the "timer" so that the headlights shut off when the motor does? Thanks in advance for your help.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) -- Hauling a truckload of logs to a Southern Oregon mill last fall, Chris Hill noticed a sheriff's deputy behind him and flashed his lights to warn a UPS driver coming the other way. The deputy pulled over Hill on U.S. Highway 140 in White City and handed him a $260 ticket for improperly using his headlights, saying another deputy had seen the flashing lights from behind the UPS truck and alerted him to stop the log truck because of the signaling. Outraged, Hill decided to fight the ticket, and on Wednesday, a Jackson County Justice...

About 8 PM CST, I was out getting my mail. I was facing southwest. The sky was mostly clear. I saw a very short flash, very white, against the houses I was facing. It seemed to be behind me, so I turned around, then facing northeast or north northeast, and then saw a very fat contrail or smoke trail, sort of a yellowish off white with the center portion having some color, red, orange, and maybe a little green The streak, whatever it was, was about 30 or 40 degrees above the horizon, with the left (west) portion being higher...

According to German newspaper Bild sexologist Piero Lorenzoni said: "A woman's breasts denote a woman's character, just like her star sign." He has categorised breast types according to fruits and says men can draw up their own horoscope-type chart that indicates what a woman's chest size says about her.
