A Novosibirsk court launched a new trial on the illegal sales of corpses to a German scholar. The case is being tried for the third time. Previously, in November 2003 and July 2004, judges acquitted Vladimir Novosyolov, the chief of the Novosibirsk regional forensic department. However, both times prosecutors filed relevant petitions with higher instance courts and the court verdicts were cancelled, while the case was returned for reexamination.
