This battle over illegal immigration and what to do about it is the nastiest, most contentious and divisive issue to afflict the U.S. in my long lifetime. We are literally at each other's throats. This past Wednesday (19 Apr, Patriot's Day in many states), I spoke at a rally against illegal immigration. The rally was part of a nationwide petition drive, sponsored by the Minuteman Project. A key member of that group, Tony Dolz, is driving across America — from Santa Monica, CA, to Washington, DC — to deliver petitions to Congress.
