The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is looking to hire over 3,700 additional tax enforcers as it ramps up its audit crackdown of higher-earning taxpayers, though a watchdog warns that Americans making less than $400,000 could get caught in the dragnet because the agency doesn't have a clear definition of "high-income." The IRS said on Sept. 15 that it had opened over 3,700 positions nationwide to assist with "expanded enforcement work" that focuses on complex partnerships, large corporations, and high-income earners. The compliance positions will be open in more than 250 locations across the United States and are part of a...

Last Friday, an HK MP5 machine gun was stolen from LoneStar Handgun, a shooting range in Bexar (that’s pronounced “bear,” like the furry animal that poops in the woods and flies space ships with Han Solo in Star Wars) County, Texas. According to the KENS5 news video below, “the [shooting range] owner fears it could end up in the wrong hands.” Um, yes, I think that ship has sailed with the person who knowingly stole the gun when the range employee’s back was turned. The female shooting range customer rented a handgun, did a little shooting, then came back to...

The AR-15 — the deadliest abomination known to man. A gun so terrible it’s killed more people than net neutrality and Trump’s tax cuts combined. And to demonstrate how awful this weapon is, I did something foolish: I tried firing one. And the experience was so horrible I have not stopped crying and soiling myself since. Yes, even as I type this, tears fill my eyes at the remembrance of pulling that trigger and the terrible things that followed. And my pants... my pants are so soaked. How to describe the experience of firing that monstrosity? When I pulled the...

As an avid shooter, I’ve had the pleasure (or displeasure) of shooting at a wide variety of ranges throughout the country. Suffice it to say, the operations and rules vary greatly from one range to the next. They range from “Hold my beer while I shoot” type establishments to places with a rules manual as thick as a New York City phone book. As with most places that are more “rule-intensive,” the most likely reason they have so many regulations is because of a phenomenon that I refer to as the LCD factor. LCD stands for lowest common denominator. -You...

A South Jersey gun range finds itself in the cross hairs of two groups who believe two signs they have posted in South Jersey are racist and should be taken down. "The Only Time We Take A Knee …" the billboard posted by the South Jersey Shooting Club on Route 73 in Voorhees reads. Next to the words, it has a silhouette of a person on one knee pointing a rifle. ---snip-- The club, which is an NRA Gold Club Affiliate according to its website, has received both criticism and praise on its Facebook page.

If you're not familiar with who these "Try Guys" are, they are four hilarious men who will throw themselves into any scenario, just to try it out. You can’t say they’re not open minded, however, when it came to the topic of guns. Well this is what their opinions on guns were before getting a taste of blasting some hot lead downrange, by the way they are our "millennial generation". Guy 1: I don't like guns. at all.Guy 2: I don't have a negative opinion about guns, I do have negative opinions about people.Guy 3: I've been invited to a...

The Hibbing Minnesota School District has become a battleground in the culture wars around the Second Amendment. When the Lincoln Elementary School was being built in 1956, it was seen as reasonable and proper to include a gun range in the basement. The range has been in continuous use for almost 60 years. The range has a spotless safety record. There have not been any injuries in the entire 60 year history of its operation. From hibbingmn.com: Director Jeff Polcher noted that there have been zero incidents at the gun range in its nearly 60-year existence. He said requiring...
